Does anyone suffer from Depression?

Starliteeyes22

Hi My name is Candice! I’m new to this site! I know that people really don’t want to talk about depression or other mental issues, but the more we put a spotlight on the subject the more people learn! I have had depression since I was 10. I was diagnosed with Bipolar when I was 24. I also suffer from anxiety and PTSD. There are days when I can leave the house! Does anyone else relate?

I personally do not suffer from depression, however my daughter and husband do.

I totally agree that we need TO LEARN SO MUCH MORE ABOUT depression and other mental health issues.

Thank you so much for this thread because I am sure that many people would love to share their personal struggles!

Hi Candice!

I'm very sorry to hear this. I have a close friend who has depression and suffers from anxiety so I can imagine how bad you feel. My friend has those problems since she was 16 when started a range of problems in her family. Since then she is on medications. I don't say that she is drug addicted but she feels really bad without it. How do you cope with your depression, anxiety? I've read a lot about antianxiety drugs on Canada Drugs online pharmacy to know what causes her condition coz when she started medication she felt even worth for the first time. Fortunately, for the moment she leads a normal life but I'm wondering how one feel when drops taking meds?

Veola It definitely is a hard life!

Medication has a wide range of side effects! One minute you feel ok the next you want to jump out of you skin! I have been on every medication under the sun! With each new medication I gained 25 pounds. It’s a very delicate balance when it comes to the brain. When the anxiety hits, for me personally I freeze still! I can’t move and I cry. It’s very important to have a support group or a supportive system! Which I do not, so I go through this alone. When someone stops medication especially for anxiety, you can have seizures! I know this because it happened to me, 3 Grand mall seizures which are the worst seizures you can suffer! Some people can go off meds slowly without that happening! It’s called tapering off. If she has control over her anxiety that is an amazing congratulations to her! Truth be told anxiety is 80% breathing 20% mental, you can breathe through an attack! I hope she continues to do well! If anyone has questions please feel free to ask!
