I just recently got a puppy and I want to make sure she doesn't get any fleas or ticks.
I would like to make it at home using essential oils but I want to make sure I get the right one.
I've heard that rose geranium essential oil works, but, also that it doesn't.
What have you found useful?

I don't have a puppy but I know that your vet can give you the best advice they can in order to take care of your puppy and prevent fleas and ticks. When I had a cat, when let her outside as she pleases and came home with fleas!!!!! Most likely it came from outside, our neighbour at the time had a dog so maybe she came into contact with their dog. Anyway, sorry for rambling!
Apparently Lavender oil helps

I've never done anything to prevent my animals from getting fleas, I always just thought it was something that would get treated if it happened. But I would just call your vet and ask them what they would recommend.

I would absolutely treat them. Unless you're ok with fleas in your house. I'm bug-phobic so....D:

I've had many dogs through the years and this always works to repel fleas/ticks. I have a spray bottle with white vinegar to spray their coat. It works. I sometimes boiled lemon slices, let it steep and then combed their fur. It also works. give it a try.
