Human PapillomaVirus (HPV)

On September 3, 2014 I received a
voicemail from my Doctor asking to call
back as soon as possible. She mentioned that she had sent a letter

to my PO Box. The letter sounds something like
The pap smear and HPV
results came back.  I am glad that we did that pap smear!

result unfortunately showed a “high grade” abnormality, and the
human papilloma virus (HPV) test confirms the presence
of “high risk” virus
. Obgyn advised me to start treatment with Cervugid

I started the
treatment with Cervugid Ovules. This treatment is done in 6 courses (6boxes).
One ovule per night for 12nights (1 course). After the first box I had a break
for 7days and I started with the second box (second course), after the second
box I had again a break for 7day and I started with the third box (third
course). After doing 3 courses, the doctor advised me to repeat the treatment
after 6 months of break again with 3 courses.

I was very lucky that after 6 courses of Cervugid
Ovules, I did again all medical tests and my PAP test came back to normal and
the HPV test came negative. I’m so I'm
happy that i got rid of HPV high risk which can lead to cervical cancer.

That's crazy. I'm glad you are okay.
I think it's insane that we can only do a pap every 3 years now. It's too long and how can we prevent cancer this way.

I'm with Martac, it's ridiculous that they changed it to every 3 years. But...glad you're healthy!

Thanks for sharing. It's been a while since I had one. Since moving to Canada I'e been unable to find a family doctor, so I'm going to look into a local female health clinic since reading your story.

Thank goodness things are ok with you now!
