Juice Cleanses?

I am looking at delivered juice cleanses and wondering what the best brand would be (Canada) and if anyone has tried them/ what their experience has been like. Or if I should just buy a juicer and do it from home.

I actually wrote an article on my experience in juicing! Here it is: http://www.chickadvisor.com/article/the-juice-cleanse-experiment-what-you-need-to-know-and-do-they-deliver-results/

Juicing can be expensive either way (store or homemade) but what I like about homemade is that you know exactly what and how much is going into your juice. Be wary though juicers are PRICEY and a pain in the ass to clean.

Have you begun?

We bought a juicer in January and made our own juice for a month. What a difference in how we felt. We even cut out meat and other foods and just juiced! Its alot cheaper to juice on your own and its amazing to see what your all getting from the veggies you are using.

The only thing I thing I that I recommend is spending the money and getting a really good juicer that uses everything and theres no waste.

Otherwise look at it like this... you can go to Booster Juice and buy a small juice from there for $5 or you can buy the ingredients yourself for about that price and get more out of it PLUS they taste the same!

Get a good juicer

I caved earlier this year and got a good juicer for myself. I started with a crappy second hand one from Value Village first to see if I would actually DO the juicing regularly.

It really does give you amazing energy and make you feel so much better! I have issues consuming food but have less problems drinking it, so being able to have upwards of 6 fruit & veg servings this way is really helpful for me!

I've got a Breville. They start at around $100 and up, but make the difference in ease of use, cleaning and extraction.

Magic Bullet Magic Juicer

I just got the magic bullet juicer as a gift and it works great. What I love about juicing is that I can easily consume my veggies and fruits and since I'm fussy about them being too ripe to eat I waste less because I juice them when I wouldn't otherwise eat them.
Buying your own juices can be pricey but might be a good way to start. Fresh and Live are restaurants in Toronto that provide vegan organic juices. Live juices I have seen in Loblaws.

thank youu

Thanks, yea I was looking at doing one of the mail-ordered cleanses for a week to see if I would really use a juicer and if it would be worth the money. Thanks!
