|Spoil myself on Dec 06, 2010 @ 03:53 pm|
If I'm having a rough day, I'll have a bubble bath a tea or glass of red wine, while watching my favourite shows online on my laptop. I literally set my bathroom up with everything within reach so I can soak, sip and watch at the same time.
I also find it helpful to call someone like one of my Grandmothers or my Mom or a good friend. Sometimes hearing about someone else's day helps snap you out of your funk!
And the piece of advice that I never take myself but know it's the best medicine is to go to the gym. Going for a swim, a run or a little light weight lifting does a world of good. But of course when you are in a foul mood you're more likely to punch anyone who suggests this remedy ;).
Feel better! XOXO

Being around one or more close friends who knows how to make you feel better always cheers me up :)
Or I'll give myself a spa day, like give myself a nice hot bath/shower, use some nice smelling shower gel/lotion, mani/pedi, face mask, do my eyebrows...feeling good on the outside sometimes makes you feel good on the inside.
Also, chocolates and exercise... and apparently scary movies, are known to release endorphins that are like natural pain killers that your body produces, so if you want to go with science there it is!

Yes, definitely start with spoiling yourself! You should do an absolute minimum of work on such days - take out for dinner, let the dishes/laundry/chores sit (sadly, it's not like they are going anywhere!), and a favourite activity that you perhaps don't allow yourself to indulge in regularly. If you can afford to, give yourself a little gift - a manicure or new pair of earrings doesn't need to cost much but it's a fun little splurge.
THEN the next day, clean up the space you spend the most time of your day in - your desk, your living room, whatever. Declutter, put out fresh flowers, and light a scented candle. You'll feng shui yourself into a better vibe in no time! I find that, while not a natural neat freak, I need a spic 'n span area to feel peaceful in.

Of course! Everyone has their bad days. It can be hard to "count your blessings" every day and look on the bright side, but tomorrow's another day.
Hope you feel better soon hun! If anything else gets you down today, just shake it off, cause it's not worth your time :)
|i feel your pain! on Dec 06, 2010 @ 04:40 pm|
Aww girlfriend i feel your pain!! Today is just *one of those days* i think. Maybe a full moon or something? lol
Work is SO BUSY it feels like everyone and their uncle is having problems and it's all on my shoulders to fix ('cuz none of my coworkers came today!). I ate my lunch around 3:30 and even that i was walking towards setting up a video conference and munching on my sandwich. I feel so bloated and gassy but not in a funny way lol .. my back and chest hurt, stomach is bloated, head feels fuzzy and painful :( just an all rounder sucky sucky day!!
I really truly can't wait until this day is OVER.
Tomorrow is a new day and God willing it'll be a better one for both of us!
