This might sound a bit dumb, but shoveling snow is a very good workout!
Yes, I know no one ever wants to do it because it is so tedious and boring. But when I help my mom shovel the driveway I feel stronger and good that I am doing something for my parents.
My arms, shoulders, back and glutes and hamstrings get a little sore after... It can be back breaking though. Make sure you bend your knees instead of your back! It is like doing squats, and the shovel and the snow is your barbell!
To make it a little more fun I let my dog run around the place to keep me company :) (she likes to eat the snow)

Yep shovelling snow can be an excellent workout...be careful and stretch yourself out. It is excellent to work out the muscles but you can also hurt your lower back etc if you don't stretch properly! Ah shovelling...speaking of which, I should get outside and do that!

If you want to be sore and have nice butt and thighs, just walk stairs for 20 minutes. could beat walking outside right about now. One thing I do have to mention though is walking can be better than running. I used to think the opposite and would run miles but now i walk the same distance but receive better results. Dont get me wrong, running is better for your lungs but walking is better in shaping your legs.

Yep stairs are definitely a good work out. Sometimes I do the stairs at work instead of the elevator and I can feel the burn in my thighs by the time I get to my floor!
