I am very much focused on living a healthier lifestyle and have decided to start drinking smoothies. I have bought powdered protein to put in the smoothie, and I have been making strawberry/banana, strawberry/blueberry, blueberry/raspberry blends. Was hoping that some of my fellow chick's would give me a few more ideas with flavor mixes... thanks ! :)

I have a few suggestions:

1. peach and mango - or just peach
2. strawberry and kiwi
3. banana, blackberry and clementine

Just curious, what protein powder are you using? I am trying to find a really delicious, yet fairly inexpensive one to try.

protein powder

I am using the Boost unflavored protein... there is no taste, and you can put it in almost anything. I did notice though that most protein powders are on the costly side, but when it is on sale ( and I know that I like it ) I pick up a couple. When I bought the Boost it was half price so I bought a couple.
** I have requested a few samples from companies that sell protein powder, and they have all sent me samples. Do some internet surfing on protein powder and get some samples.... as some powders are not pleasant at all. Need to know if you like it before paying $.

You can also try adding some greens such as a handful of baby spinach, kale, or a bit of parsley - when paired with sweet fruits like bananas and blueberries, you don't notice the "green" taste as much.

Hemp seeds and chia seeds are also a good source of plant-based protein.

My go-to: 1 frozen banana, 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk!
