Anyone with some great tips or product reviews they can send me to about great weight loss supplements? I am a sugar junkie and its only at night time.. I eat properly and watch my caloric intake during the day.. and as soon as 7 or 8 pm hits.. boom.. chocolate, ice cream, Krema super fattening yogurt and than my whole day of being normal is all for naught..Why do we start the cravings at night and what would help stop them.. besides will power lol

I personally don't believe in weight loss supplements. I'm sure they help some people, and that's great, but in my opinion they're a band-aid -- they don't really solve the underlying issue.

Cravings for certain kinds of food can actually be your body's way of telling you there's some sort of imbalance. Sugar cravings in the evening/night are actually a pretty common sign of what's now commonly referred to as "adrenal fatigue" (different from adrenal insufficiency, which can pose serious problems), which is a blanket term for many different symptoms that many people experience. It happens when your body can't keep up with the everyday emotional and physical stressors.

I myself suffer from a few different things. I have Candida, which is a bacteria in the gut, and although everyone has some of this, I have too much. It feeds on sugar, even the natural kind found in fruit! So my body craves these things, but I'm really only making it worse if I eat too much. I also have some thyroid and adrenal issues. All of this rolled into one can really throw the body off, but my functional medicine practitioner has really helped. It may be worth looking into some vitamin supplements rather than weight loss supplements :)

Exercise!

My doctor has stressed this to me many many times. I used to be a freak at the gym and work out all the time.

I got sick and my medication caused me to gained weight and lost of motivation. I've gained more weight than I should have. Lost my toned fit body and felt very bad. This went on for years.

One day, I just woke up, signed myself up to the gym and just started working out. Not only do I start feeling better, I've gotten so much more energy.

You could never go wrong with exercise. It's not even about how you look like, it's good for your health. Eventually you will feel good about yourself and you will never think of any diet supplements.

That being said, some detox teas are pretty good, just to get a good cleanse before you start an exercise regime. It also flushes all the toxins in your body.
