Enfamil A

I supplemented with the ready to use kind of this brand around 4 months until about a year. She got one to two of the little prepared bottles a day. It was so easy to use and my doctor recommended it. The little bottle was easy for her to grasp as well.

If your baby starts off on Enfamil the Kirkland brand is pretty much the same. It's really good and you really cannot beat the price ($23 for 1.5 kg - it lasts like two weeks and she has 4 x 7 oz. bottles a day now), Bonus is when it goes on sale for $5 off.

I wish my baby would take a bottle of formula so I can go away for longer periods of time! I have tried so many different kinds of formula and she just spits in out. She only wants to nurse!

Alimentum & Similac

I breastfed for almost 3 months and my daughter always seemed to be uncomfortable. I figured maybe she was lactose intolerant so I cut all dairy out of my died for about 3 weeks and saw no change. I put her on Alimentum and medication for acid reflux. She was a brand new baby! After slowly getting her off the acid reflux medication we tried giving her Similac advanced. She was very gassy and had runny poops. So we mix half Similac advanced and half alimentum and it works for her! She just turned one yesterday and I'm going to try her with cows milk in her sippy cup but continue her bottles and meals. She's almost 22 lbs and 31 inches long! My point is, every baby is different, you will know your baby better than anyone and sometimes it takes a little longer to find out what works best for you and baby. :)

Which one did you end up choosing? All formulas have to meet certain standard no matter what so I think its just personal preference. Its not like cheaper ines are way worse for baby or something...

we started off with good start for about a month which was amazing. no issues with it, and then we moved to kirkland brand, which are the same makers as good start and it was just as amazing for a quarter of the price and double the size.
