Kylee - a lot of babies have it in their scalp. It goes away eventually.

Baby shampoo on Oct 21, 2015 @ 01:38 am

I was very lucky that both of my children had no problems with cradle cap but my nephew had it bad. I always used Johnsons baby shampoo and rinsed well. I found out the nephew had his hair washed with baby bar soap and after he was switched to baby shampoo he was all good.

Cradle cap is no big deal it just looks nasty but has no effect on the health of your baby. Using a baby comb will help flick out the flakes easily.

my son had it when he was under 3 months( common in breastfed babies) and all I did was put baby oil in his bath and rub his head with that bath water and a cloth and it completely went away and his hair was greasy that way.

My baby had it too but the doctors told me to just scrub shampoo on it and eventually it will go away. It was gone in a few days.

Yep. My babies each had a bit of a case of this. Not a big deal in most instances. It is not harmful to baby. I rubbed baby oil on the patches of it gently until it lessened up and then shampooed their hair. It went away fairly quickly, although my youngest had it for around a month.

My son never got cradle cap, but my daughter did. I started using Aveeno Baby 2 in 1 shampoo for hair and body. Follow with baby oil always after bath, and brush hair back with comb it will help lift some of the dry skin off the scalp. Make sure your rinsing hair well and try to oil scalp morning and night.
