Smoking moms

As a smoking mom of three...if you don't care enough as a mom when your pregnant to stop smoking it probably shows what kind of mom your gonna be! Yes quitting smoking is hard....but when there's a life inside of you, as a mom, it's the only responsible choice you have and the first chance you have at proving what kind of mom you will be!

Barbiebelt WOW SO JUDGEMENTAL !!!

I am a non-smoker and am really against smoking but I had one of my friend that is a smoker and she was told by her doctor not to completely quit smoking because the craving would stress the baby out too much ( because she would crave it too much) , all she did was slow down how much she smoked and the baby was perfectly fine and healthy. My mom smoked during her pregnancy and it did not define what kind of mother she is that is beyond judgemental !! how can you even say that ?!?!?!? My mom is a great mom and I couldn't ask for a better mom even if she did and still does smoke! it's like saying someone is a bad mom because she chooses to give formula instead of breast milk ..

Smoking and changing advice

My mother's always smoked for as long as I can remember; In the late 80's when she had me there was even a room in the hospital where expectant and new mothers could go to smoke. 2007, the UK guidelines had a big change - no smoking indoors and you have to be 15 metres away from a building before you light up. Many members of my family were smokers and 1 or 2 still are, my sibling and I do not smoke and sometimes encourage our older relatives to cut down. I have never had any serious health issues from "passive smoking," but I tend to worry more about the people who directly smoke .
