Hi Moms. Having a frozen themed birthday party for a 4 year old at the end of March. Anyone have any fun suggestions? Where can I get loot bag type things without over spending?

Dollar store? on Mar 11, 2015 @ 04:38 pm

I'm not sure if they specifically carry Frozen themed stuff but I've seen a lot of branded loot that is perfect for kid parties. Frozen is so common I've even seen it at the grocery store. Good luck!

You might find something of interest using the links below. Your little angel will have such a special birthday party. Planning kids parties is so much fun. Seeing her face light up will be so rewarding. Enjoy! :-)

The dollar stores have lots of frozen themed goodies. it's a great place to shop for party stuff without spending too much. we have a birthday coming up soon and i will be picking up a few things at the dollar store.

ebay, Amazon, Target, party centers are your best bet :)

As a teacher, I often have to find ways to purchase activity supplies on a budget and more often than not, I need to get creative because spending on ready made items can get expensive.

For loot bags, I use simple paper bags which you can purchase at the dollar store and then I print out the theme picture and glue it onto the front. I've also used big Ziploc bags and just placed the printout sheet inside the bag and the goodies behind it. I know it's not as fancy, but it'll still do. Kids are usually more interested in what's inside the bag than how it's made.

Why not have the kids decorate the paper bag with Frozen stickers or by drawing their favorite Frozen character as they wait for the other guests to arrive? It's a fun way to make them have ownership of their loot bag and it helps you keep track of everyone.

If you want something a little more fun and creative, how about purchasing large Styrofoam cups with lids, put the goodies inside and decorate the front to resemble Olaf's face (again, the kids can decorate this as an option). If the prizes are too big to fit in the cup, you can use this for any snacks or piñata candies they would like to bring home.

Some fun games/activities can include:

- Pin the nose on Olaf

- Musical chairs using Frozen's soundtrack

- Build your own snowman/woman with homemade glittery playdough

- Frozen Bingo (very easy to make yourself online and just print out)

- Balance the snowball (cottonball) on a spoon race

There are a great number of activities you can also find online. Have fun with the planning and have a great party!
