Hey everyone ,
Just looking to get some new ideas on puree food for my little guy .. I need ideas of fruits to mix with vegetables ( avocado/banana) . My sons will eat some fruits ( banana, mango, honeydew, cantaloupe) but refuses veggies and cereals !! the only veggies he will eat is avocado sometime sweet potatoes ( I've tried carrots, sweet peas, butternut squash ) I did try all these veggies before fruits but he gags and cries whenever I try veggies or just won't open his mouth…
Any tricks or puree food receipts that worked with your little one please let me know !

I really just wanted to say that I think that it is so great that you take the time to prepare your own baby food. I am sure that when many of the ChickAdvisor Moms read this post they will share some recipes with you. Great Post.

my daughter was the same. I would take stronger flavoured fruit like bananas and berries and mix it with carrots or beets etc.
Beets and strawberries are a good mix or what you can also try is mixing some cereal in the veggie puree.

You may want to look into infant led weaning. It skips the whole purée stage. Check out the site The Mush Stops Here. I used this for my so and he was self feeding by 9 months.

Ripe, sliced avocado with a little olive oil and lemon juice is great too. My son loved it as a first food.

My little one loves purees and we make our own as well. He never liked peas, but loves cauliflower, broccoli and zucchini. Maybe try those ones?
