My baby kicks all night...

My 5 Month old baby has been kicking in her sleep for a few weeks now. It goes on almost all night every night. I know she doesn't like blankets so I don't even cover her up most of the time. She decides to just kick them off her anyways. I really don't understand why she keeps kicking. She used to be such a great sleeper. She doesn't even fully wake up while she is kicking.

She is sleeping in a bassinet still so tonight I am thinking of trying her in her crib. Has anybody else had this going on with their baby?

I moved my daughter to a crib at 4 months. I think you can move your baby to a crib if you'd like to. Most recommend making the switch from bassinet to crib around 3 to 4 months, when most babies are rolling over and starting to sit up. It may/may not stop the kicking, babies like to practice motions in their sleep. My daughter still kicks from time to time and she is over a year.

Both my kids were as still are restless sleepers. Perhaps the bassinet is too small for her now? I'd move her to a crib. I put my babies in baby sleep sacks so they couldn't kick their blankets off. I'm sure it's fine that she kicks in her sleep.

My daughter used to kick at night too,I think they are probably dreaming or building up their leg muscles

Not unusual, not to worry. It could be something as simple as hiccups, a dream, temperature settings, etc. Sometimes, bundling helps

Who knows I thought maybe it's because she needed a diaper change so I do that once or twice a night but she keeps kicking.

So my baby slept in her crib last night. She did really good. The only time she kicked was to get her blanket off so I just left it off. I felt kind of bad because her little legs were cold but she doesn't want to keep the blanket on at all. My three-year-old is the same way. She really hates blankets on her. At least my baby had a better sleep and so did I LOL I guess it is time to get rid of the bassinets. My little baby girl is growing up :)

Another great night in her crib. I guess she just needed more room and it was her way of telling me so. Babies are so smart!

My baby does that. We usually cosleep but I was getting seriously sick of being kicked in the stomach and punched in the face all night. He is doing okay in his bassinette, maybe I will try the crib soon. Have you tried swaddling her still sinxe she clearly doesnt like the blankets lol. My baby always got out of his swaddle and even the blankets specifically for swaddling but I got an awesome velcro swaddle sack that works perfect. I think he has even started sleeping better because of it.
