Swimming classes?

I'm thinking of enrolling my baby for swimming classes ( He's under 12 months) just wondering if it's worth it? I know he will have fun , we go to the pool on our own time every week but just wondering if at this age swimming classes are worth it.

Good for some structure, but some downsides

We took our baby at 8 months and it was good to get us in the habit of bringing him to the pool, but in retrospect, I would wait until my baby could walk/stand if I had to do it again. Both of us needed to be there because it was too hard to try to change the baby and also change yourself at the same time, particularly if they're really young.

My baby had 6 months when he began his classes. Once a week for 2 months. Since then I've never been able to find a pool to sign up for swimming classes. It's always full :( He's 17 months now.
