I started as soon as they could walk and understand what was being said to them. It didn't take long at all for them to catch on' same for my grandkids.

I started to try with both of my boys at around 18 months. With my oldest, he caught on to urine quite easily, but BMs were more of a challenge. My youngest practically trained himself, after observing his older brother. I never used potties, just an adaptor for our regular toilet, but they have some very cool mini potties which make sounds etc...when the little one tinkles. Good luck, patience, lots of positive reinforcement.

My son is 2 years 2 months. We started a couple weeks ago and he picked it up really fast. Still has an accident here and there if we're out, but hes doing awesome!

My daughter is 2; we bought and introduced her to a potty at 18months but not pushing it. I know she will let me know when she is ready - she does 25% in the toilet but still wears pullups 100% of the time. If shes gets closer to 3 with no improvement I will start to push harder, but I am happy with her progress now! I'm afraid if I push now to soon she might grow afraid of it.

when my son was about 2 1/2, we were at Walmart and he saw the Disney Cars potty and wanted me to get it for him and pretty much started using it right away. He sat on it a lot without doing anything but I let him decide when he wanted to use it. My son wore pull ups for two nights and I stopped putting them on him and he only had 2 accidents in those first few months. I was really surprised how well he did.

I started mine when he was 1.8 mo and by 2 yo he was solid trained. It took me a whole week every 40 minutes i had to set up an alarm to put him on a potty but its paid off.its so nice abble to take him places and not worried about diapers and changing my advice start early, later its harder. Lots of my friends waited too long now they have trouble with it.
