Did any CHICK knew any of these kids? I didn’t but my cousin lost 3 of her friends and I would like to say that I am really sorry and my heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrible accident. This weekend has been hard for me, I cried many times thinking of the parents, families, friends, hockey community and the entire Country =‘( you are in my prayers #prayersforHumbolt

So many young lives lost in the blink of an eye. My thoughts and prayers are with this community.

Just so sad to put it into words................

I don't know any of them but one of them had parents from here in Newfoundland so the connection is felt here. Heartbreaking.

I didn't know any, but can't imagine the pain family and friends are going through as well as the whole country. Very upsetting.

This is so heartbreaking - I cannot imagine how much pain the families are in because of this.

The pastor at my church had a moment of silence yesterday for the families, emergency staff, and community, and he reminded us of the Boys in Red crash that happened in Bathurst, NB back in 2008. It's hard to imagine until it happens to you or someone you know.

There is a chance I have met, while I was there for a student exchange some time ago, some of the family members of those young gentlemans who sadly passed in this tragedy. I have been on those roads and wow, the feeling I got when I saw images...

I don't know anyone associated with or on the team, but my heart goes out to the victims and their families <3

Heartbreaking how so many lives can be lost in an instant. We are lucky in this country not to face so many large-scale disasters or deaths all at once, so the loss of these young people really strikes home. Thoughts and strength to their families.

No words..,

When I had my kids we lived on a farm about 20 minutes from Humboldt. I both worked and went to school in Humboldt, and recognize so many of the last names of the victims in this tragedy. My kids and I moved to Saskatoon 10 years ago or so, and my son began playing hockey a few years later. He was good...so good that a letter came one day offering him the opportunity to attend the Humboldt Broncos training camp. He chose a different path, for personal reasons. My heart hurts for the parents, loved ones and the community of this devastating tragedy. The road to recovery will be long and painful; I truly hope that they all see their way through it. My deepest sympathies to all.
