medical marijuana

what are your thoughts on this. i see every where that its good for all kinds of medical issues. people are using it for pain management instead of heavy narcartics .would you or have you used it for medical reasons... i have depression and arthritis i wonder if it would help me.. in Calgary we now have some clinics that can give a person a prescription. not sure how it all works ... but i am interested... any feed back would be great .. thanks

Some insight on medical marijuana

It has been proven to be helpful. Some doctors are open to it, some aren't. It comes in different forms. Using it via a vaporizer is popular and seems effective. It's been out in a pill form for a long long time and most people say it doesn't work that well. There are no guarantees, it doesn't work for everyone. I'm not sure how well it works for arthritic pain (it's not often prescribed for that) but if you're a chronic narcotic user in my opinion this stuff would be worth a shot because if it works you can reduce or eliminate the opioids. Marijuana has a great track record for depression, I've seen it first hand and it makes a world of difference in many people. It's worth suggesting to your doctor. If he/she is against it you can always ask for a second opinion.

I use medical weed for my PTSD symptoms - anxiety, depression, insomnia, fear, anorexia, etc, and it is the only form of medication that has helped me, I tried other forms of medication and they caused me to obsess about death; extreme nausea, which caused me to lose loads of weight really fast, and I thought I was going to die; disconnected from reality; foggy-brained; and so on.
Weed makes me feel happy; grounded; more flexible; more social; more patient and empathetic; it helps me sleep; it helps my racing mind chill out. This, along with my other talk-therapies; neurotherapy and biofeedback; and CBT/EMDR, it is helping me feel my "normal" again. And it makes me want to participate in life, rather than avoid it. I enjoy taking it through a pipe, bong, or pen so I can avoid papers and just receive the good stuff :)

It's also fabulous for pain management (I get a lot of stiffness and pain at times) and helps reduce nausea so you can eat. And makes eating much more enjoyable :)

Medical marijuana​ is different I guess then the stuff ya buy on street I use to smoke it when I was a teenager but now can't I dotn care for it makes me feel sick and nauseated but medical stuff may be different ....

I believe that medical marijuana is nature's best medicine. I have seen MANY peoples stories where nothing ever worked until medical marijuana. I know many people are against it, but if people do their research, they will realize the amount of good it does. No it does not kill people, and yes, it is WAY better for you than alcohol and narcotics.

I tried it

I had a shoulder & arm injury in February that acupuncture didn't help with. So I bought some CBD THC oil, had high hopes, no pun intended, and it unfortunately didn't alleviate any of my pain.
What did work was a good old prescription anti-inflammatory drug. So I tried alternatives to medication, but to no avail.
I know a lot of people say it helps with their arthritis, and with seizures, and that's awesome.
What I bought wasn't helpful for that particular medical condition I had. Not to say I wouldn't try it for something else in the future, bc I would.

People say medical marijuana has many benefits, and it helps people with pain relief, anxiety, and so on. But I don't like the process, because anyway the person smokes weed. I trust cbd more, it is harmless, natural, very useful and not addictive. There are some really good information sites out there, and here is one of them. I believe there are healthier alternatives to marijuana.
