I found this on Youtube and it's one of the trending video right now. It's one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. The groom set up this awesome wedding and the bride didn't even know about it. The bride shows up and he asked her hand in marriage and then announced that they were getting married right away.
Watch it here.
Everything worked out so beautifully it definitely made me tear up. What do you guys think?

My only issue would be that I didn't get to plan it myself. But GAHH <3
At the very least, she's marrying a crazy organized person. on Aug 17, 2011 @ 02:39 pm
I think the sweetest part of all of this was the fact that he planned it and did all the work!
He obviously loves her a ton and I am super impressed with all his planning- he is crazy organized. I love the fact that he had a rendition of the Beatles- let me hold your hand playing.
I think he must know her really well and know what she'd like. Personally, I would NOT like a surprise wedding. Being too much of a control freak, I'd want to pick out my dress, the table settings, everything!

My hubby proposed and then immediately produced airplane tickets to Hawaii to elope that next weekend... and I said no (yes to his proposal, no to the elopement!). I think a lot of women want to have the experience of planning their wedding, but for those who are easy going, this is one of the best stories I've heard. Good for him, and good for her! If they are both thoughtful people, hopefully their marriage will be strong.
so sweet!!! on Aug 18, 2011 @ 06:52 am
If she was the type of girl who had her heart absolutly set on planning her wedding, I doubt he would have done it. Im sure he was confidant she would love it when he planned it out.
Personally, I'd want to be a part of the planning and the excitement, but I still think that sweet, romantic and thoughtful dont even begin to describe what he did :-)

Wow...that is cute.
SO SWEET! But is it legal? on Aug 18, 2011 @ 12:47 pm
That is SO sweet, I am dying! If my husband did this for me, I think I would've been thrilled. I enjoyed planning my wedding but I had such a "just go with it" attitude. I wasn't picky about anything, just as long as it came together and looked lovely. I just wanted to be married and enjoy the day! I'd trust my husband, he knows what I'd like haha
The only thing I wonder is if this is legal? I don't know how it works in Ontario but in Manitoba where we got married, you have to get your marriage license no less than 24 hours before the ceremony. I wonder how they worked that? Because you do both need to be present to get it!
Good question! on Aug 18, 2011 @ 01:14 pm
Because I am curious like that- I looked up the marriage license laws. Here is the link.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of info there but that is an excellent question @beachbabe and I have no idea!!!
Mmmm maybe they don't either. I hope that organized husband checked that out before hand!
prior plans? on Aug 18, 2011 @ 01:19 pm
I think at one point in the video I heard them talking about how they'd planned to possibly elope in the near future and show up at a family gathering to announce the big news - perhaps they got the marriage license in preparation for that?
I heard that too, but... on Aug 18, 2011 @ 01:32 pm
... I believe you have to get a license in the province/state you're planning to be married in. Otherwise it's not valid. But who knows, maybe they found a loop hole?
Great story on Aug 18, 2011 @ 06:34 pm
Very beautiful. What a great guy! My boyfriend surprises me all the time. But with little things! Flowers for no reason, or showing up at my house without warning, or sweet text messages when i least expect it... that kind of thing. But, like everyone else, I would like to plan my wedding. :)
