budget friendly anniversary date

Advise needed. My husband and I will soon be celebrating being together for 13 years. I would love to do something romantic for him, but it also needs to be budget friendly. I am having a hard time with thinking of something to do for him, and I want it to be a surprise and special. Any advised would be appreciated.

Depending on where you live...…..

I keep seeing commercials for Niagara Falls $45 dollars a night if you stay Sunday- Thursday.
I believe it was for Fallsview Casino and Resort.

Anniversary at home ideas

How about a surprise anniversary party at home, with your closest friends and family? Just prepare the dessert or entree, and ask them to bring a side dish. I know this isn't for everyone, but I often attend potluck and BYOB house parties and the lack of formality is what makes them the most fun.

My SO and I celebrated our last anniversary at home alone, and it was fabulous. We picked our favourite restaurant meal (steak oscar and baked potatoes) and replicated it at home. I baked his favourite dessert, and he BBQ-ed the steaks. We turned off our phones, prepped the meal together, ate at the table (not a common occurence at our house), ignored the dirty dishes, and then watched a movie and drank wine the rest of the evening. It was special because we dedicated the evening to each other.

It really depends on location as well as what you both like. Almost everyone likes to eat. Why not a nice candle lit dinner at home with a nice bottle of wine and after cuddling on the couch watching a movie you noth wanted to see. Nothing could be more budget friendly than that. Last date night went go carting and enjoyed it so much I decided Im bringing him back on his birthday. Its always so hard to answer these kinds of questions cause everyone enjoys doing different things. Its the same for gift buying. I know the things joe likes so I always know what kind of gifts to give him.

Maybe a book with old souvenirs like photo, cinema or concert tickets, funny moments, inside jokes in it?

Game night!

Last year my husband and I stayed in and had a game night. We went to the grocery store before and got some appetizers and treats!

Another time we stayed in and made sushi together.

Both times we got a nice bottle of wine and really just enjoyed doing something we don’t normally have time to do, and spent quality time with one another!

How about a couples date night to the movies, dinner and then overnight at a hotel?
