know quite a few people who met their current spouse on a dating site. You just have to go in with your eyes wide open. Some guys (and some women too) are just on there looking to hook up. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get the end result they want. But if you're prepared, it should be ok.
I had two long term relationships with men I met on dating sites. Neither ended up working out, but I'm still very good friends with both of them

I have tried it and I've met some great guys. You have to try it and see if you like it as there are some guys out there that are not honest but if you trust your gut and have fun with it, you will enjoy
I say go for it

Online Dating

I've done it and had 2 relationships. One lasted a year, the other 3 years. You have to get all the info you can from the person and definitely ask what kind of relationship they're looking for.

No benefits

I think this is a pure mismatch. This sort of relationship is good for the woman's ego, of course. But for a man I can't see any benefits except for money.

I also think this is a mismatch. This man can be hunting her money, not love. Just imagine, he has great choice of women, why else would he get interested in this old one? I read in this https://www.atn.com.au/posts/Online-Vs-Offline-Acquaintances-What-Is-Easier.html article that there are circumstances where you can get to know each other faster, but that does not concern seniors.
