Embarrassing Your Spouse On YouTube?

Have you guys seen this video of man videotaping his wife in the car, after he's asked her a math question?

Basically, a man asks his wife how long will it take me to get somewhere if I am travelling 80 mph and it's 80 miles away. Obviously, the answer is an hour.

However, the wife kind of goes off and overthinks the simple question. The man videotaped this embarrassing moment and posted it on youtube and since then it's gone viral.

What do you think of this? I feel bad for the woman, it was probably a momentary brain fart and to video it seems cruel to me! Or maybe it's just harmless fun? Do you think the man is in the wrong here? What would you do if this happened to you or maybe you've done it to your spouse?

Oh dear

On the one hand, it is pretty funny. I can see why he wanted to record it at the time. On the other hand I can see how embarrassing this would be for her. And any math teacher she has ever had. I think he should have kept it as a private joke between the two of them.

I don't know if she was really just over thinking this, or she really did get it. I do know that if my old man ever posted something like this of me on the net, he'd be in the dog house for a very very long time!

My oh my

This poor girl was clearly caught in a rough moment and I can't imagine that she appreciates having everyone judging her intelligence, but at the same time this is pretty funny and I don't think her husband meant any harm by it. This was clearly supposed to be all in good fun but it depends on the personality of the person to know if they would be bothered by having hat kind of video posted.

Not nice

this should have been a personal joke between the two of them, not something to share with the whole world. Who knows why she didnt' have the correct answer but it's not a Grade 4 class and sharing this with the world is pretty sad on his part!

Is this staged?

Okay, so either I'm out of the loop about what people do and do not choose to tape (and yes, I am out of the loop probably), but if he's taping this, how does she not realize that it's a set up? And if so, what are the odds that they've staged this? And once she realizes that the video isn't making her look too bright, why wouldn't she insist he pull it off of youtube unless she wants the fame? And if she wants the fame, wouldn't that also be an incentive to stage this math question?

Obviously, I have lots of questions ;)

I think....

I'd be mad

I would be angry if it got posted and viewed by so many strangers who are now laughing. It should have remained private for them and maybe some friends and family. One of the reasons I don't care for the internet, nothing is private anymore. Unless of course the wife didn't mind it being posted, who knows maybe she has no problem laughing at herself.

I don't think she'll be angry

I don't think she'll be angry because I don't think he's ever going to convince her of the answer. She probably thinks that everyone's laughing at him for not dividing it in half ;-)

To her credit, she can run a mile in 7 minutes. Impressive!

mamaluv your questions had me laughing out loud! Well, in response to you, gf:

If she doesn't understand "80 miles per hour" actually means 80 miles in 1 hour, I don't think she will realize that she's being set up. Considering she spent 4:35 minutes convincing him that he's wrong, he's obviously not taken tire pressure, rotations per minute, and cop cars into account, and as she can run one mile in 7 minutes, she gestimates that to calculate 80 miles per hour you need to divide it in half. Like, duh. ;-)

I'm gestimating that the husband took her confidence in herself, and her inability to understand math (or English) into account when he uploaded this on Youtube. He probably thought she'll never figure this out so she won't ever get mad at him over it!

If I'm wrong though, I gotta say she is an AMAZING actress!! Ridiculously amazing!!! Highly paid reel-life actresses haven't managed to convince me of their sincerity as she has! She's obviously wasting herself on youtube. If this is fake then I want her autograph.
