Groom Prep School

I read an article on Glamour.com about a school for your Groom/Boyfriend and I HAD to find out more. The ‘school’ was created by AlfredAngelo (you can check out their website here). They specialize in turning your lazy, video game addicted, smelly man into a well groomed and behaved husband.

Check out their list of classes for 2011:
I’m Sorry 101
Oops, he did it again! No worries! We’ll teach your groom how to pen the perfect apology letter and when to send flowers, chocolates or both!

Does This T-Shirt Smell Funny?
A comprehensive introduction to Laundry Arts – We’ll erase any misconceptions about the time honored male “smell test” used to gauge whether or not to wear something. This course includes a lab giving him actual hands on experience with your washer and dryer.

Science of Dishwashing I
We know this is a challenging subject, so we’ll start with the basics of how dishwashing can increase your biceps when performed on a regular basis.

Science of Dishwashing II
Prerequisite: Science of Dishwashing I
Get your yellow gloves on! In this challenging class we build on the Bicep Building concept and actually introduce your groom to “The Scrubby” and how to attack that pile of dishes quickly and efficiently.

Is he listening? With this course, grooms will be taught how to put down the video game controller without any separation anxiety symptoms. **April Special** Just for enrolling in the Ex-Boxed course, we’ll give your groom a FREE mini-course in the importance of replacing the toilet paper roll.

Private Coaching Sessions
Diane and Jim understand that some grooms need special attention and have graciously made private coaching sessions available on a case by case basis.

Is anyone else incredibly turned off by this? I’ve said before that I don’t believe is marrying/being with someone you NEED to change so why would I want treat my man like a new puppy and have him broken in? I’m all for couples marriage prep classes,  learning to work together not teaching your guy how to put the seat down.

I really hope that's just a spoof, because it's hilarious! I seriously doubt that this would be a real "class" as such - if it were, I don't imagine they'll make much money at it.

oh that's too bad, I had my credit card ready....

Especially for the laundry class....can't tell you how many (formerly white) t-shirts I now own because someone thought it would be a great idea to put all the laundry together.
