...to have kids! Geeze, get your minds out of the gutter! :oP Seriously, I'm almost 30 and have no desire to have kids whatsoever. Is that normal? Most of my friends have kids, some already in grade school. Anyone else my age are you craving babies or do you see where I'm coming from?

Not everyone is the parenting type. It is a huge investment! I wasn't in baby mode either, but then we oopsed and now we're at 3 anklebiters and still haven't taken permanent measures to prevent a 4th.
In my case, I quickly warmed to the whole parenting thing after I got over the initial shock of the pregnancy. In my case, abortion is not an option anyway, so there really was no way around it!
What am I trying to say? Short of abstinence, there is nothing to guarantee you won't get pregnant at some point. If it's meant for you, then I really believe you'll manage the parenting thing and probably even be enthusiastic about it. Don't worry about not having the urge. It'll either show up eventually or not at all, in which case you won't care.
