Starteg a blog

danayyc

Hi ladies, any tips on how to drive a lot of traffic to a blog? Just started one,

reviewgalyyc.BlogSpot.com, and I am not entirely sure how to get noticed other than adding hashtags and having the link on my facebook. I am not tech savvy enough to make it really cool, it's pretty basic, but should be adding some product pics soon.

Any tips and tricks on what to do?

Wish I could help. I'm interested in starting one myself.

We could help each other?

Instagram, FB, hashtags

I find that having an accompanying instagram, facebook, and even twitter can make something feel more accessible. There is an "if this then that" ap that allows one post to be pushed to all other social media accounts (ex: a post on instagram gets pushed to twitter and facebook). If you have a lot of photos on your blog, I would suggest having fairly regular social media useage as well, and using popular hashtags. Getting a shoutout from another popular blogger is also helpful - perhaps forming a relationship with someone who has a lot of followers can help!

how

Thank you for the tips AFH1 - how do you form a relationship with someone who has a lot of followers? (none of my friends are bloggers)

Relationships

That's a good question, and not always easy. Interact with them as much as possible on social media, perhaps giving them a shoutout. You could approach them and ask if you could mutually benefit from some sort of shoutout both ways. Sometimes there will be social media accounts (for instance, I have seen photographers on instagram) who post about having a get-together for like-minded bloggers to meet each other/work on a project together. Be as aware as possible of events in your area; being present (vs. forced networking) can be enough to get the lay of the land and meet others who are doing similar things.
