I drink green tea before every meal and use a calorie counting app. It really makes you think of what you eat. I have lost 25lbs doing this. Its slow but by getting a good eating habit it helps you in the long run.

I have been told that warm lemon water first thing in the morning gets your metabolism going. I am up for a challenge! For sure lets motivate one another!!

Well what has been helping me tone up and shed pounds is keeping track of what I am eating in a day. I use an app called My Fitness Pal, it's so handy. I log in what I eat for each meal, and I am only aloud a certain amount of calories per day. It also tells you what foods are low in saturated fat and it warns you if you're having too much sugar in a day. Soooo helpful. Also check out Pop Sugar Fitness on YouTube, I do their workouts everyday , they are very fun but challenging.

I did the 17 Day Diet, and lost 12 lbs in the first 2 weeks. They talk about hot lemon water before every meal, and green tea with every meal. I love it, because it's real food, and you don't feel hungry. Each cycle they introduce new foods to your meal plans. It's wonderful!

I also use the App MyFitnessPal daily. I find it a great tool to help me realize what I am really putting in my body - more so than "counting" calories. I also try and exercise at least 3 times a week - I know it's hard to get into that routine. Even if you only do 3 or 4 twenty to 30 minute short work outs or runs per week - you will see the benefit. Here's what I did - hope maybe sharing this helps! Last May I changed my eating habits (I refuse to call it a diet!!) I simply switched to a way of eating that is gluten free, low carb and high protein. At first I also really measured portions and was amazed at what I was overeating and didn't even know it for my height and body type. I know this is not for everyone......I thought I was going to die in the first month - lol! Now it is just a natural thing for me. I lost 38 lbs and have successfully kept it off. I also believe in the benefits of green tea and have at least two cups a day. Supposed to be good for your metabolism and is also a good cleanser they say. I try when possible to eat organic or the least processed types of foods if I am eating out. The biggest thing is stay positive! Good luck!
