David's

Teavanna feels like they're trying to hard to be some sort or Buddhist type retreat store, many of their products are artificially flavoured.

Tea choice

Luv David'sTea for the Earl's Garden , but often advertised flavours aren't avlbl in store - frustrating.
We have a lot more independent store options and I luv supporting the smaller entrepreneurs - Cornelia Bean here is one and they ship across Canada

Both?

I have had both but only a couple from each so can't really judge by them...However I do have a Teavana infuser mug and some of their peach tea left and I'm not too fond of that one but I do love the chocolate peppermint one. (don't remember their exact names)...From David's I have only had the Forever Nuts tea and absolutely love it!!

Davids!

I love Davids and shop there regularly. The staff are always friendly and I get the impression that they truly love being there. Seems like a fun place to work. They always have really nice flavours and I like that they have seasonal packages to try out with new flavours every season! I will say though the Teavana also has some really nice teas as well. At Christmas time try the White Chocolate Pepermint Tea @ Teavana. SOOO good.

teas

We don't have a Teavanna store where I live, so I'm sad that I can't actually compare. I've only had a chance to try the passion tango served at Starbucks and I enjoyed it - I'd like to have a chance to try more. I will have to stop in at Teavanna in Freddy next time I'm there.

I do really like David's Tea - but it's expensive when you want to buy bags of tea. I go a few times a year just for a cup of tea, maybe once or twice a year to buy some of my fav's in a tin. FYI I tried Spa Day (for mother's day) last night and it was great! They definitely have a few classics that I try to keep in my cupboard.
