Please add a category for food and recipes!

It would be nice to get ideas and submit some too. It would be even better if we could add photos of our culinary creations!

Thanks :-)

good idea!

We do share our recipes and whatnot in the Fun Stuff category, but your suggestion is good. We'll keep it in mind!

It'd be nice to have a special section.....

dedicated to this so people don't have to go hunting through hundreds of other posts. It would all be in one spot. For each recipe a member posts, the person should be allowed - encouraged - to upload a photo of the dish, add any cooking tips which in their experience helps get the dish prepared more easily, a section where measurements are converted (UK/US/Canada - use a little javascript application where website users can input their own measurements - super easy to do - maybe with jQuery) . We are on the internet after all, and that means the audience for this website is global. I often come across recipes that are in grams, etc, which prevents me from ever trying to make the dish. This converter would help a lot, being in one place on ChickAdvisor, rather than having to go hunt for something like this on another site. It keeps users ON ChickAdvisor, not helping them to shift their focus AWAY from ChickAdvisor.

I was disappointed yesterday when I saw that the only recipes that are listed are of the women's magazines type. Yeah, some of them sound good and the photos are nice, but people who live in the real world often have favorite dishes they make for their families that they would like to share with others. Some real people recipes would be very nice :-)

I, for one, would use this section of the website quite often and would love to contribute to it from my own cooking experince. I used to own a restaurant, developed the menu, decor, etc single handedly, did all the marketing and promotion, and trained all my staff, including the waiters and waitresses, to cook every dish on the menu. That way, when a cook got sick or decided to get lazy and not come in, one of them could step in and take over. So I'm pretty good with food, if I do say so myself hahaha :-)
