posting URLs

I recently posted a link in the thread re: the porn stash. The link is long and it hosed up the formatting on the page :-( Sorry,

Also, can we use html tags in our posts to pretty them up a bit or to make a link active? (link)

Maybe in the future

Spotty you didn't break the page ;) New updates with different browsers sometimes make the css break. (I think I can speak geek to you since you seem to know a lot about the techie world).

Re: allowing html in posts, we don't yet because it opens us up to sql injections and other nasty things, but as our team grows and we grow, I'm sure we'll update it to allow for that. Our team now is quite wee so we're building slowly.

Thanks for the great suggestions!

I often feel like the bane of my existence is browser compatibility w/ css. I wish there was a *real* standard. I guess it keeps us in business. :-P

I understand re: sql injections. I deal w/ mysql, but w/ a very limited user base, so there is little worry for security. Your set up is quite different, however, w/ a much larger user base.

I really like your flash animation front and center on the main page (scrolling/dancing content choices). I'm just learning flash (I think the interface is horrible -- not intuitive to me at all). Maybe I'll have to come running to you for help!!

Overall, ChickAdvisor has a great look and feel. Its fun and spunky and not too busy or glamorous. I run away from pages that instill in me a sensory overload. You guys have come up w/ a great balance -- clean, simple, informative, attractive, intuitive. I'm a fan.

Keep up the great work!

Awww, thanks!

Spotty, you're such a sweetheart, thank you :D. That's really nice to hear.

Re: Flash - I don't have a clue! The flash on this site was done by one of our talented programmers. The most experience I have with that is a couple of weeks in first year university. Sounds like you know a lot more than me there ;)
