Flying after the Paris attack

With all this stuff happening with ISIS and after Nov 13th I want to know if anyone would travel to a different country for a vacation? I would like to go on vacation but I'm kind of nervous to fly with all these terrorist attacks and threats. I'm from Canada and would like to go to Jamaica. What are your thoughts?

Willing to travel

I would still go on trips, I personally Don't want fear to dictate my life, I have family members who just got back from a trip and some family who are taking a trip in January, I wish you good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Dont live in fear

There have been threats since time began. There is always war, fighting, and extremist groups. It's just more known and powerful now because of the Interweb and instant media attention.

There is such a small chance that 0.00001% of the extremist population will affect any of us directly.

If we are paranoid about leaving the country, going outside of our houses, or going to a large downtown or city event, this small % of the world has won.

Obviously I wouldn't go travelling in an area that is currently wartorn, but that still leaves much of the world that is generally extremist active free.

You can go to work and an ex employee with a grudge can come in with guns; or a movie theatre; or school - these events can happen anywhere or with any denomination, group, or person.

Look past these awful events in the world, and try to see peace and happiness in what we can do, the people around us, and in hope.

If I could afford to go to Jamaica, I totally would! Enjoy!

Just go! Obviously not to a war ravaged country but you can't let fear dictate your life, otherwise they've won.
