Toronto Getaway

Hello Everyone!

My boyfriend and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary soon and I want to treat him to a weekend in the city. I am looking for hotel and adventure ideas that are not to costly.

If not anything within a hour of Barrie, On.

happy anniversary

Theres lots to do in toronto :)

I personally really like the old spaghetti factory. The portions are awesome and very affordable http://www.oldspaghettifactory.net/. Ive been to the ripleys aquarium and its pretty fun, you walk right through the tanks literally theres sharks and fish even above you. Most hotels are pretty pricey id try looking at groupon for a deal.

SO fun!

Amazing idea! That will be a lot of fun.

The aquarium is definitely a must! If he enjoys baseball, perhaps catch a Jays Game at the Rogers Centre. If it's a nice day, they'll open the top and you will get a nice view of the CN Tower too. You can get some real cheap seats in the higher levels, and it's still a lot of fun! Then just down the road from there, head to the water to catch some nice waterfront views and you can walk along the boardwalk. They re-did a lot of it for the Pan Am Games. Depending when you go there's the Union Station Food Market too which has a bunch of food vendors with unique and tasty foods!

Have fun!!

I Miss Toronto

I've also heard good things about the Aquarium - and we've always enjoyed our food at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Try the Bierhaus next door for an after-dinner drink :)

What kinds of things do you guys like to do though? When I lived in Toronto, I went to Medevial Times almost once a year, loved Casa Loma, the ROM, Toronto Island (rollerblading, anyone??), biking along the Lakeshore pathway.

Niagara

I have to agree with Sandrusia! Niagara falls is a great place with lots to do and Niagara on the lake is absolutely beautiful. I spent my honeymoon there and it was an awesome trip!
