I love this show even though it is really sad and always puts me in a awful mood. It showed way to much in season 1

I watched it all the day it came out! Honestly I love the show. I can relate to so many of the experiences that come across the show and it helps my healing process as well as connect with my community that has seen the effects of such situations.
While the last episode was strong because of what happens to Tyler the truth is while these may be stories from a book these things do happen to people in real life. And to say that such topics should be censored which they are but more to say that they shouldn't be accessible to kids/tweens & teens is ridiculous.
The show provides context, dialogue, visual demonstration of what youth and people in general go through. To bash a show like 13 reasons why and question its intentions is to disregard the purpose of the show. Its for youth to understand, feel empathy, not be so quick to judge, and learn as well as over all not be so passive about rape culture.
In saying this I think even though season two was pretty strong yet not as strong as season one it provided the context and the multiple truths that needed to be heard to see a better picture of how all these intersections of experience and people can not only affect one person but a whole community.
I stand by 13 reasons why full heartedly.
