There are 17 women left, and 3 going home! 3 dates, 1 group and 2 individual.
The episode starts off with the first date, (an individual one) that Ashley S (the nanny) is asked to go on. The date starts off by Brad going to pick up Ashley at the women’s mansion, in his pricy convertible. The date takes place at a Studio A in Capitol Records, where Brad surprises Ashley by having them sing a duet of ‘Kiss from a Rose’ by Seal. They do an awful rendition, and then Brad surprises Ashley with a live performance by Seal! Although Brad did not know the emotional attachment to this particular song for Ashley, she starts opening up to him about her and her fathers relationship, and about him passing away. It is somewhat of an intimate conversation, which leads to Brad giving Ashley the rose. Although, the whole part after the rose gets a little awkward as poor Ashley seems so into Brad and he is a tad disconnected, (as always).
The second date is a group date, and the ‘lucky ladies’ of this date are: Lindsay, Shawntel, Alli, Britt, Kimberly, Sarah, Chantal, Ashley H, Lisa, Stacey, Marissa and Michelle. The clue for this date is ‘Love Hurts’, and the ladies are brought to an action movie set. The main standout in this date is definitely Shawntel, as she ‘takes advantage of the situation’ and starts kidding Brad against the directors wishes and definitely against all the other ladies wishes! The date commences with a predictable rooftop ‘afterparty’, where Chantal O opens up more about her life (and her dad), Michelle gets a little possessive and Shawntele gets the rose!
The final individual date goes to Emily (the single mom, Barbie Doll). The clue for this date is ‘ Love is Intoxicating’. The date starts off by them taking a private plane ride to a beautiful vineyard, where they drive an antique car through the vines. The conversation is slow and awkward at the beginning, with definite tensions. Later in the evening, at their dinner, Emily starts opening up about her past and shares some intimate details. She gets the rose and Brad claims “ I can see emily being the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with”
After a short visit from his therapist, the cocktail party commences where he strides to make the girls feel more ‘comfortable’. It seems to work for some, but for Madison (the vampire model), it doesn’t quite work as planned. Madison ends up leaving the show. The women that get sent home are : Kim and Sarah P. In a mascara-ful goodbye, Sarah P gets emotional, while Kim takes the “His loss” approach to her boot off.
Next week looks intense as Michelle apparently wakes up with a black eye? and tensions between her and Chantelle escalate to new levels!
|I'm ashamed - I actually watched this eppy! on Jan 18, 2011 @ 11:03 am|
My hubby's out of town so I indulged in a little guilty pleasure last night of the Bachelor.
So insipid and scripted-feeling and ridiculous that it was good. You know what I mean? I hadn't been following thus far and thought it was an interesting twist that he brought a shrink on the show. Does this seem so forced and fake to anyone else?
Not that it'll stop me from watching. Oh no. Me like a perfectly awful, awfully perfect love story.
(Hubs, if you're reading this, I take everything I just said back)
