Adult acne?

Anyone have any tips for getting rid of adult acne? They seem to only come on my left cheek but they're alread there and won't go away!

I get it too and it's embarrassing at times! I never got zits at a teen, but once I hit 25 or so, I get acne regularly.

I use cleansing pads with salicylic acid in the morning, after cleansing and before the rest of my skincare. I also use a serum from the Ordinary (Niacinamide 10% Zinc 1%) which really helps with minimizing acne. I'm careful about what moisturizers and other products I use so they don't clog my pores.

I also use a charcoal peel off mask once or twice a week to help cut down on the oil (my oily skin contributes to my acne).

If all that doesn't work and I still get a zit, I use a spot treatment that contains salicylic acid. I've found that products that contain hydrogen peroxide don't help at all and dry out my skin.

I hit submit too soon!

Of course, I always keep my skin clean. I avoid touching my face when I can (but do it out of habit all the time). I keep some hand sanitizer close at all times so that I can clean my hands after petting the dog or touching money, etc. As I'm sure you already know, never sleep in makeup - I do a double cleanse at night to make sure my makeup is all gone. I have a cheap, imitation Clarisonic device that works alright and I'm considering buying the real deal since I've heard such good things.

Oxy pads

The only thing that seems to help me is using the triple action oxypads. I've tried so many other things. I also like the simple face cleanser I use it to wash my face in the shower.

Try popping the pimple and put some toothpaste on it and wash it off in the morning and let the scab go away so you don't get a scar and use sensitive skin face wash or just Avon body wash that's what I use.

Do you sleep on your left side? Or when using your phone, have it on the left?

I've stumbled upon Deciem last year and decided to try a couple of item from their skincare line called The Ordinary. I have been using it regularly since about November and my skin has seen a huge improvement. I use the squalane cleanser, Salicylic acid and 'B' oil in the morning. I use the Niacinamide Zinc and Rosehip seed oil in the PM. Once or twice a week I'll throw in some of the Glycolic acid toner before the Niacinamide. Out of all of those though, I feel the Niacinamide and rosehip oil made the biggest difference. I still get the odd zit, but they're not nearly as bad as before and they don't last as long either. It's a super affordable brand and they're Canadian, so yay lol

Life acne

I've had acne all. My. Life. I'm now working on getting an overall better skin care routine. Cleanser every night, toner twice daily, moisturizer twice daily, masks as needed, exfoliators 2-3 times weekly, etc. I haven't gotten to the serums and oils (yet!)

I've also heard people talk about washing pillow cases regularly, and not using your hands for cleansing/picking/makeup application etc.

Adult acne

ive noticed mine has come back in the last year. I have neglected my skin for the last 2 years. It’s been busy with 4 kids. Lol
I’ve also noticed that I have been getting the deep deep cyst that are painful around that time of the month. I’ll be asking my dr next week to see if he can recommend a cycle of antibiotics to kill the cyst. Hopefully something works. Good luck to u ladies as well!!
