Nightmares, Lucid Dreaming, Sleep Disturbances, Etc

fly_eyez

I have PTSD so I frequently have nightmares.

Sometimes I have periods of lucid dreaming in which I can "control" my dreams, to a certain extent.

One of the most terrifying things that's ever happened to me during sleep is experiencing sleep paralysis. This is the transition between sleep and wakefulness in which you become alert & aware before your brain signals your muscles to move. It doesn't last long but omg the first few times it happened to me I had no idea what was going on. It felt like I was legitimately paralyzed. My doctor explained what happens during sleep paralysis and I read about it, but it's still a terrifying thing to go through.

Anyone else have sleep issues?

I myself found out when I was a child that if I had a dream that I remembered I could go back to it the next night. I still can. I know this sounds ridiculous but I did find out that it was a rare thing and that it showed high intelligence. I am not boasting for sure, but I was told that.

I myself am a very lucid dreamer and my dreams are almost like a movie most times. I as well have had paralysis when trying to wake up from a dream. It is scary and even when I am totally awake sitting up in my bed I still feel really eerie.

I also can go back to a dream from the night before and continue on with it. Especially if it is a dream where I want to find out what happens next. Almost like watching a Mystery or Suspense TV Series. I actually just had one the last 2 nights, so I thought it strange that this was posted.

I can also control my dreams too, but haven't in a while actually. I also have Flying dreams all the time. I love it.. But I am usually Flying in a similar dream that I have flown in before.

Lastly, My Mom and Boyfriends have said how much I laugh and laugh and laugh in my sleep all the time.. They say it's hilarious. I don't remember when I wake up. I also talk and talk and cry alot as well. I enjoy dreaming and wish I could draw better to draw out the things I see and write my dreams into a movie !!! LOL.. Sweet Dreams tonight !! Post what happens after your sleep tonight?

So... You would be classed as highly intelligent also.My info did come from a valid source as it was a doctor that I had asked. Do you ever dream the same dream over and over again and always wake up at the same time while experiencing it? I used to until I figured out what was triggering it and I don;t have it any more.

Man I wish I could control my dreams.. I have a friend who can. My dreams are not memorable and really stupid...
When I was expecting my dreams where really crazy like money was bacon and dumb things like that. Now I can only remember waking up in a panic..
