Stress relievers!


What's your go-to method, activity, etc. when you're stressed and want to calm down?

I have a few:
- spend some time alone
-listen to music LOUD
-do a good deed for another person
-have a nap

I used to do a lot of adult colouring books (when I worked at a high-stress call centre, I would colour while the customer on the phone was screaming at me lol - it really helped). I also used to crochet quite a bit too, it just took my mind off whatever was going on.

Breathing techniques are important too. If I was mid-panic attack, I would focus on my breathing. In slowly through the nose, hold for 2 seconds, out really slowly through the mouth.

When I am super stressed I either like to sit alone somewhere to think about it and reflect on what I can do to help relieve my stress OR I like to find someone I can trust to speak about it. I find sometimes talking things out and getting advice helps.

Talking With Trusted People

I like talking to people I trust when I'm stressed, so there are a select few, and getting there advice on the issue. Sometimes it's easy to overreact when you're stressed so I find talking to people helps me put things into perspective.

I tend to clean. I don't know why but I findcleaning my house therapeutic as well as rewarding. Afterwards I feel more calm and I have a clean house.

too many

I find I have to clean and listen to loud music to sidetrack my brain or just cleaning in general is a good way to use energy and gives quiet time. I enjoy coloring in adult coloring books, or any coloring book. I really am a HuGe bookworm! just shut the world out and escape reality. My daughter gives me such joy and is really nice company!
