My period is six days late, and I just need some reassurance from other women who have expirienced this.

Alright so I had PROTECTED sex on the fifth of June. There were no mistakes or breakages in the condom that we know of, and he did not finish inside of me. I am only concerned because of precum. This month I got all of my normal period symptoms: acne, bloating, cravings, mood swings, and smell. I went through a bad breakup about 3 days before my period and I was very upset about it, and my sleep patterns have been crazy. It's summer so I've been staying up all hours of the night. I've also been eating a lot less than normal, and drinking alcohol a lot more than normal. I was due for my period on the 17th of June, but it never came. I am 6 days late now. The only reason that I am concerned about a pregnancy is because I've been having some light red and pink discharge which isn't usually normal for me and of course when you google that it says that it is implantation bleeding. I asked my partner what he thought and he said there was no way he got any sperm in me but I am still very nervous. I'm going to take a pregnancy test tomorrow just to be sure, but I would still like some reassurance from you ladies. Please help!

Nothing but a pregnancy test would help re-assure you completely. You can read all the responses in the world, but a pregnancy test would be best. Six days late for your period doesn't sound like an immediate cause for concern and your light bleeding may just lead to the start of your period. Stress levels can also effect your period, relax and take a pregnancy test.

Stress could cause it or age, which I doubt for you as you sound young to me.

Stress does crazy things to your body. Including messing with your period. If you want a for sure result...I agree...by a preg test.

Test time

I took a test tonight and I'm going to take another one in the morning! It game back negative, there wasn't even a faint blue line in the pregnancy bubble. Still not sure as to why my period is so late, it's never been this late before.

Those tests are extremely accurate! If it came up negative it's VERY unlikely that you're pregnant. Stress can cause your period to be late, so really the best thing you can do is try to relax. If you need complete reassurance visit a doctor and get a blood test, it will be 100% accurate!

My cousin in law took 3 pregnancy tests, all were negative, but when she got blood work done, she was told she's pregnant.

Try not to worry go get a pregnancy test or go see a doctor to get blood work to see if you are pregnant,stress can also make you late.

Ok so I used to get my period late like a month late and everything right, and I would get symptoms of my period but not my actual period, when i went to my doctor i was told I was fine after awhile my period was back on track but my doctor told me to be careful when this happens because it can be one of many things. It could a disease or sydrome, stress, an side effect of medication, pregnancy so please play it safe and go to a doctor its better to be safe then sorry

Late Periods

I was the same way every time I got stressed,and the more I got stressed the longer it would take for my period to come.I hope that is all for you to.You did the right thing though by buying s pregnancy test.

I've missed periods before while on birth control and my doctor told me to change my pill cause my body was too used to the one I was on. Stress can also do it to. Hope all is well with you now
