Look good, feel good !

I love taking care of my skin. It is relaxing and makes me feel great when i see results. I do everything from masks, to peels and scrubs, daily moisturizer and cleanser. That is my feel good way

Slow living đź’“

On my days off, I enjoy “slow living” which is one of those cool Scandinavian ways of living. It involves...nothing. Just relaxing, reading, drinking tea, doing your nails/hair mask/face mask, drawing, napping, taking a walk, collecting things in Nature. Just the act of doing nothing in a certain time frame or order. Just living. 💓

Oh boy. Self care, for me, can be anything from Doing face masks, painting my nails, doing something special to my hair or soaking in the tub or having a long shower to staying in bed all day just reading, watching shows and napping. Like literally doing nothing. More often than not, I just need those kinda days where nothing is expected of me and I can just do whatever, whenever. It doesn't happen often though, I've got 4 kids lol and they range from 2-11.

self care / self love

Every day I take time just for myself, my one main enjoyment for the day is to take my dog for a walk, and it is a nice long walk... about an 1 hr. It gives me a chance to unwind my brain, get a great workout, and listen to the animal noises, it also gives my dog a chance to enjoy the outdoors and sniff, and at this point of time, eat snow. :)
Walking is my me time, no phones, laptops... just quietness and the fresh outdoors.
Also, I like to make time a few days a week to have a nice long hot bubble bath.

What I do:

- read
- go to the gym/fitness class
- have a nap
- have a bath
- paint my nails/put on makeup
- go shopping
- make a nice meal/go out for dinner

A full day per week for myself.

Several years ago I did not pay much attention to my own interests. I devoted all my free time to my closest people. I became so exhausted and finally depressed, so I had to treat it with medications. I took antidepressants and had a lot of those terrible side effects (you can see here in meds description). When I overcame my depression I realized the importance of time for myself. I've read some psychological articles where there was a statement that to be a good wife and mother could be only happy and healthy (mentally and physically) woman and that's why she needs to have at least two evenings and a full day per week for herself. So as for me, there is no matter what I will do, but it's important to have such a free day.
