Christmas gift for 6 month old nephew?

I have no kids, and no idea what to buy a 6 month old baby boy. Anybody have any ideas? What are the hot items for babies right now? What might he love? Thanks ladies!

At that age I found my son really loved the fisher price play mat/activity gym we had . It's colourful and it has lots of things on it that he could grab on to, or drool on for that matter. They also come in a large range of sizes and prices.

depends what you want to spend! The activity tables are great (fisher price, leap frog) and texture books are good also. Any sort of teething toy as well- as this is the time they start to get their first teeth, if they havent come in already!

I always feel like kids always have so many toys that adding one more to the pile doesn't mean anything, so I usually stick to buying books for little kids. At least with books you can have lots of bedtime stories - and with a variety of them, parents won't be stuck reading the same story over and over again once the kid gets old enough to interact. Hopefully, anyway!

Maybe a nice outfit from the Gap or Childrens place and a toy truck or car for his age

I think at that age that he would like any toys that you would like to buy for him they're very playful at that age fisher price always has great products but they can be a little expensive I know you'll do great on whatever you buy for the little one Have a Great Night

Rattles or Books

My son really loved rattles at that age. Anything that makes noise really. I agree with the comment about books too, just make sure you get the hard pages ones. Then the child can actually look at it and play without ripping the pages out!

Mastermind Toys has an amazing selection of toys. They offer lots of different toys that other stores don't carry. Knowledgeable staff who can provide suggestions. Free wrapping. They have numerous locations in Toronto and the GTA.

Wow ladies - thank you so much for all of the wonderful ideas! I actually went onto Fisher price online and got a bunch of learning toys for 50% off! Plus a couple of hard books, and a couple of soft books. Thanks for the guidance ladies. I am sure he will love his gifts!
