I am a huge fan of using butter in my baking ingredients, so when this product became available I was excited to try it! I used it for my famous chocolate chip cookies and is was a great substitution!

I loved the taste and texture of the butter 🧈. It was easy to find. I would recommend it to my friends and family. I used it in baking and it was tasty 😋. The texture was soft. It is a good buy for sure.

Bonjour, j’ai reçu ce produit gratuitement de la part de Becel et chick advisor. J’ai beaucoup aimé le fait que si on se fie au goût, on croît vraiment que c’est du beurre. Fait à base de plantes...on aime ça !

I’m not sure I would buy this product again

I liked the ease of the square rather than the tub but I still don’t like the ingredients that they use in margarine. The plant based part is nice but I still feel it’s not a healthy alternative. I didn’t try it in baking as mine was salted so I used it in cooking. It melts nicely and has a good texture and consistency and it tastes good but in the back of my mind I know it’s not good for us.

Great alternative

Becel plant based bricks, they pretty much taste the same as their margarine same texture and smell. I attempted to bake some cookies with this, it made the cookies come out at if i put too much oil in and had an off taste like something was missing. I would use this as a replacement of butter and margarine. What I really like about this is it is ethically sourced Palm oil and what i feel is vegan??

If i am wrong on the vegan part I am sorry.

Better than butter

I received this product as a free sample from FamilyRated. It has met and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to all my friends and family, anyone really. If you are interested in an alternative to dairy butter, try this product!

Becel bloc salé à base de plante agréablement surprenant!

J'ai testé tout à fait gratuitement les bâtonnets de BECEL salé à base de plante et j'ai été très agréablement surprise par le goût. J'avais quelques craintes face au goût, mais c'est comme du beurre. En plus, la texture est la même que le beurre et il est très maléable. Un vrai charme cuisiner avec les bâtonnets BECEL salé à base de plantes. Je le recommande à toutes celles qui désirent cuisiner avec des ingrédients qui contiennent moins de gras saturés. Un vrai charme!!

Really just tastes and cooks like butter

I got this product free to try through Family Rated. I'm truly amazed. I forgot that this wasn't actually butter. I have a friend who is vegan but she rarely was able to eat the dessert that I baked because of the the ingredients used to make it. I baked brownies with these and they turned out amazing! My friend really enjoyed them too!

J'ai essayé ce produit autant dans la confection d'un repas que d'un dessert. Je dois dire que je n'ai pas vu la différence avec la recette originale. À la base, la Becel est justement faite à partir d'huiles végétales. Je cherche donc la différence avec la recette originale, si ce n'est que le dosage du mélange d'huiles végétales doit différer.

Je consomme déjà la margarine Becel donc j'ai apprécié ce produit! Merci!

It's Good, but it's NOT Butter.

I received this Becel Plant-Based Salted Brick Butter for free in exchange for my honest review.
I made a traditional Banana Bread with walnuts and pecans and it turned out really good! My home smelled so inviting and it satisfied that comforting craving.
The texture was more like butter than margarine and so was the taste. It cooked my Banana Bread just like butter does, however, hubby and myself could definitely notice a difference in taste. When you skimp out on animal protein and fats, you're giving up on the quality of taste.
I doubt that I'll ever buy this but I will recommend it to my Vegan and Vegetarian friends. Also, the price is very reasonable.
