i bought this recently. and the few times that i have used it.. i have not been disappointed. you only need a small amount.. AND i have no more split ends. i had tons of split ends.. now i dont have any. i am quite pleased about that. :)

my hair is really dry, and frizzy after showering, and drys. and thats why i have to flat iron it all the time. so my hair is super damaged, but after using this product, i can see a big difference in the way my hair, feels, looks, and drys, after showering.

it used to poof out, and look ridiculously ugly, now its normal looking.

kinda expensive though.. but in the long run.. i think its worth it.

I have been using this for years. However, after trying Moraccan Oil, this product now is in second place for me. Biosilk seems synthetic even though it gets the job done.

Although my star-based rating is mediocre at best, I will admit that this product is, in fact, tremendous. Coupled with the strength of heating tools, it absolutely delivers "the luxury of silk." Still rumors suggest that this product strains and damages the condition of hair, straying from the ideal of naturally luscious locks.

A few people with similar hair to mine (curly, frizzy and slightly unruly) have said they have been using Biosilk forever and that it is one of their staple hair care products. So, on my never ending quest for glossy frizz free curls I decided to give it a try.

It is available in most salons, and I also have also spotted it at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharma Plus. The smaller bottle sells for between $14-20 while the bigger bottle (which is double the size) sells for $20-24. Obviously the bigger bottle is a much better deal if you love the product. A friend of mine lent me hers to try and thank god she did because otherwise I would have been out 20 bucks.

I cannot tell you how much I hated this product. It simply did not work well with my hair. Its thin oily consistency only requires you to use a small amount on wet to damp hair (you can also use it post styling on dry hair). I used it after my shower on damp hair, and as I let my hair air dry it looked as though I had walked home in the rain. My curls were flat and completely lacked bounce and volume, however at the same time they were still frizzy as if I had not put any product in them at all. I thought for oil I would have to use less of this product, but after this experience I decided to try more. WRONG AGAIN. It did the same thing. Lastly I smoothed it through my damp hair before blow drying it straight. For this purpose it worked quite well – my hair was shiny and silky, while not being weighed down by product. I was happy with this result but do not feel like investing 20 dollars in a product I use on the rare occasion I blow my hair out.

From my experience I can only recommend trying this product out. As with any hair product, it works wonders for some, and not at all for others. I know that kind of advice doesn’t help you much if you’re trying to decide whether to buy it or not (sorry!) but at least you won’t expect it to work miracles just because it is a salon product.

    Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!

My hair is coloured and permed which translates to dry and frizzy. A friend recommended Biosilk Silk Therapy so I tried it. All I use is a dime sized drop of this product and work it through damp hair before styling. Seriously, my hair is so soft and smooth it's unbelievable. I also have very fine hair, but this is one of the very few products that does not weigh my hair down.

I used to use this product religiously but i always found that it was perhaps a bit heavy or maybe made my hair too greesy the day after i used it. im not sure what it was about this product but it wasn't "perfect". A stylist reccomended that i try a product called 'moroccan oil' which esentially is almost the same as biosilk but better.
so if you're looking for an alternative i would reccomend Moroccan oil

The best hair serum on the market. Not greasy at all and doesn't leave your hands sticky after use (in fact food for your skin too!). Nice subtle smell.

I'm upset with this product. I've been using this for years (extremely rare for me because I always bounce around from product to product without sticking to any one thing) and I thought I loved it. It smells great, you only need to use a tiny bit, and it seems lightweight. But about a month ago I got a haircut and the stylist was commenting on how weighed down my hair is and asked what I used. I told him I was using Silk Therapy and he literally recoiled in horror. "Oh no!" he said "That stuff turns into grease in your hair!". At the time I scoffed at him but now...I think he's right. For reference, I'm half black half east indian with very curly type 4A hair. I used to relax it but I stopped about 2 years ago and now just wash once a week and blow it out straight. I either wrap my hair at night or tuck it into a satin cap and you know what? About 3 days after I wash it my hair is grease-mania. It's so lank and flat and lifeless. Looks nice and shiny and is soft and smells good. But it's so flat and greasy. I'm wondering if the combination of using small amounts of Silk Therapy about every other day and keeping my hair wrapped at home is just giving it too much moisture. Either way, I think I'm going to have to start looking for an alternative because this is just not doing it for me anymore. I'm sad though. I really thought I loved this stuff.
