Works well, but not my favourite

While I love this BlueAir purifier and would fully recommend it, unless you have a much larger room that needs this bigger size, I personally prefer the smaller size type 411.

This is simply due to the fabric outer filter. Since I have pets, this filter really gets cluttered up with pet hair so quickly and due to the large size, I can't put it higher up, so it must be on the floor, where the cats will rub against it. For my personal situation, I prefer the larger floor models that lack a fabric filter, or the compact 411 model, which can be placed up off the floor.

That being said, this still works amazingly and like other Blueair Purifiers I've tried is great quality, cleans the air wonderfully and takes out excess smells from the air. It comes with a blue and a black cover, so you can use the other cover while changing. It comes totally set-up, with the exception of the fabric filter, which you must slide over the unit, removing the top section and then putting it back on once the filter is in place. It comes with a carbon filter inside, so it will take away smells.

One benefit of this, compared with the smaller size, is that the 3rd (highest) setting is a lot quieter. With both, setting one is virtually silent and setting 2 (medium) is quiet, but can be heard.

The only downside to this unit (other than the size and difficulty keeping it hair-free if you have pets) is the lack of handles. So if you need to move it, it's definitely not easy. You must lift from the bottom of the unit (as the top is designed to come off and you cannot put strain on that part), so it can be quite hard to move around if you have a bad back.

Other than this, it's a great unit that would work well for people who don't have pets, or have the space to keep it off the floor. It has great engineering, a sleek design and most importantly, it purifies the air really well!
