Medium hold gel for shiny curls

Purchased from Whole Foods half price. I previously bought a bottle at WalMart, never saw it again, and was so excited to see it on sale at Whole Foods.
I love this gel. I apply it to soaking wet hair after I shower and my curls turn out defined and shiny with no crunch.
It is quite sticky to apply so I make sure my hair is very wet and that I add a bit of water to my hand.
It is also nice for smoothing out frizz.
When I want extra-hold I do layer with a stronger gel. Keep in mind that my hair is very coarse, thick and low porosity, so most of my product ends up not being absorbed/ gets lost in the towel drying process.
It does contain glycerin so I don't use it as much in the summer.
The scent is interesting- it really does kind of smell like bamboo. It seems like many do not like it but I kind of don't mind it at all.
