Bourjois Velvet Matte Lip

Rouge Velvet from Bourjois is a matte Liquid Lipstick similar to Soft Matte Lip Creeme or Liip Lingerie from NYX. The formula is easy to apply with a liquid veil of colour that sets down to a stay put, velvet matte finish. On F101 this was one of the velvet matte lip products I recommended forr this mask wearing Pandemic era we find ourselves in, when I posted about mask-proof make-up.

I had high hopes for this as love long wear lipstick. This lipstick definitely delivered on that front. It went on smooth and velvety, and dried to a nice matte finish that wasn't too dull. However, the pigmentation was disappointing. The color was much more lighter and lacked that bit of oomph I was hoping for. It does feel very comfortable and is not drying. It did fade a bit throughout the day, but is overall a good lipstick. Would love to try other colors to see if the pigmentation runs truer to colour.
