A delicious treat!

I was stoked to be selected to review Breyers Delights Creamy Chocolate ice cream! I used my coupon at Wal-Mart, where I was a little shocked at the price. I'm normally a frugal spender, so with a price of over $4, I'm not sure that I would purchase unless it were on sale or I had a coupon.
That being said, the flavor is fabulous! It's rich and creamy, with just enough sweetness to satisfy the craving. I'm not normally one to purchase ice cream unless it's packed with peanut buttery goodness, but I did quite enjoy the single chocolate flavor packed in Breyers Delights! I'm hoping they'll introduce new flavors in this line.

Smooth and creamy treat

I won't lie. My initial thought would be this product would miss the mark. I mean really, 500 mL of product is only 280 calories and has 16g of protein? So was I right?

Yes and no.

It was creamy, rich and tasty! I couldn't beleive it! It wasn't too dense in the container, so it was fairly easy to scoop. As I munched on it, I read the deets on the container, like that it gets its milk from Canadian dairy farmers, and that the first ingredient is condensed skim milk, not water. So far so good!

I chose not to eat a whole pint (it's not that kind of day!), and are the half cup serving size was about 70 calories, 6g of fiber and 10% of the daily need for calcium. Could be a lot worse!

The end though is where it goes downhill for me. I noticed a coat in the mouth that wasn't creamy and kind of bitter. Read down the list of ingredients further and saw the culprit, Stevia. I'm not a fan of the sweetener. But honestly, the after effect wasn't enough to put me off if it were a whole pint of I've cream kind of day.

All in all though, this is a nice product! If you need to eat a pint on icecream, this is a healthier option, tho quite expensive for regular purchase.

This new flavour tastes great. The rich chocolate creamy texture is mouthwatering. especially the less calories is the good excuse for the ice cream lovers.

Finally delicious ice cream without any guilt!

Bryers Ice Cream Delights are so delicious and creamy! I got my free container and couldn’t wait to try it. I got the creamy chocolate flavour and I can’t say anything bad about it, except I wish I had more right now. It costs 7.47 at Walmart which for good quality ice cream is comparable to other ones. The best part about this product is that it’s so low in calories, they range from 280 - 360 for a whole container! I can finally enjoy ice cream without any guilt or regret! They come in 3 flavours, Vanilla Bean, Cookies and Cream and Creamy Chocolate. I highly recommend giving this ice cream a try, you won’t regret it! :)

Friggin yummy breyers chocolate ice cream

Honestly i never really bought breyers before i was able to try this breyers ice cream. Thanks to chickadviser i #gotitfree and i was amazed at how yummy the chocolate ice cream was. The price is abit much but if ur into the small pricey tubs then its perfect for ya. I will get it again however only as a treat :) well done breyers. Thank u!

C'est simple j'ai adoré cette crème glacé. Le gout est excellent pour une crème glacé plus légère on a l'impression de manger de la crème glacé normal.

No bowl needed!!

While it did take me five stores to find this kind it was definitely worth it!! It has a great chocolate flavour without being gritty. I think it may have had issues with melting a bit and then freezing at the store because the first day I tried it, it had a bit of an icy mouth feel more than a creamy one. Then the next time I tried it it was much smoother. The calorie count for a single serving is awesome compared to most ice creams for a guilt free treat and 4g protein helps to stop you from eating the whole container because you're actually feeling full. The store had it listed at $8.49 which is crazy for a pint of ice cream but when they scanned it, it came up as a different brand and only $5.99. So price win for me but if they were actually going to sell it for over $8, I wouldn't be buying it again.

Finally a guilt-free treat!

Seems to be in high demand in my area. I had to go to various stores to find this product. I was finally able to find it at Shoppers Drugmart!

So worth it though! I did not expect this ice cream to taste this good!! I honestly cannot tell the difference between this product which only has 280 calories for the whole pint and the traditional calorie-packed ice creams - It tastes the same or better. I can finally indulge myself eating this and not feel guilty. It's rich and creamy, doesn't have the chalky taste at all. The price is pretty high for a 500 ML pack though. It will be great for a once in a while treat, but I can't see myself buying it every time I go grocery shopping because of the price. I would gladly pay $8.99 CAD for this product, but not for 500 ML size.

can't believe one pint only has 260 calories!!

If I wasn't told that a pint of this ice cream only contained 280 calories, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference because it tasted the same as regular ice cream. I liked that the first ingredient on the ingredients label was skim milk as opposed to modified milk ingredients or sugar.

Still has great taste!

I don’t eat ice cream often, but I’ve always really enjoyed chocolate ice cream with milk in a bowl. This ice cream reminds me of what I used to eat as a kid, considering the low calories, it tastes just as good, if not better!
