Marble Cake is awesome!

We bought the Casablanca Marble Cake. I wasn't sure what to expect as it is made with no eggs, but for a vegetarian treat, it was delicious. Really fluffy with a great texture and flavour. Topped it with some fresh pineapple. I also like that the price was reasonable too. I cannot wait to try out other flavours.

Great pound cake!

I really enjoyed this pound cake. It lives up to its name because it is dense and has a nice crumbly texture. When you bite into the cake you taste this hint of vanilla extract and then the mixed fruit gives it a bit of a fruit cake feel. I wish there were more mixed fruit pieces though because they are very few and far between. The pound cake is soft to bite and it is decadent. One piece will keep you satisfied.

I had this for breakfast with a yogurt and it was wonderful. This cake is great to serve to guests.

The pound cake can be found at Metro and I have also seen it at Food Basics. It is a descent price for the quality you get.

Would Definitely Buy Again- Great Cake

This is a vanilla pound cake with bits of mixed dried fruit spread throughout. There are only a few pieces of mixed fruit per slice, so there could afford to be more. My pieces, for example, only had 5 small pieces of mixed fruit. The dried mixed fruit has the same taste as that used in Christmas fruit cake.

This cake can be eaten cold or warmed in the microwave for a few seconds. Personally, I prefer this one not warmed but only by a little bit. When it is not warmed, the cake has a crumbly dense texture that allows the vanilla flavour of the cake to shine through. The crumbs are coarse and delicious. When warmed, the cake is more spongey and moist. I find this allows the taste of the mixed fruit to come out a bit stronger as well as the buttery flavour to shine through.
