After thinking about it for a long time, I finally decided myself to buy one of Clinique's chubby sticks. I was a bit disappointed with my purchase, considering how much I had paid for it... I got mine at Sephora in Paris for about 23 EUROS, which comes to about 30$.

Yes, chubby sticks have great pigmentation, but with that quantity of pigmentation, you can't afford to put some aside of your lip line. chubby stick is so "chubby" that it gives no precision at all and makes it very difficult to control. And it only gets worse when you start wearing it out. The tip gets flat and becomes even MORE difficult to apply.

But that's not all. Of course chubby stick moisturizes your lips and let them fairly soft, but an hour or so after applying it, you will find it peeling away in little clumps. Totally disgusting and unwelcomed from a 30$ lipstick-chapstick.

They DO have great colours though. My chubby stick is Pudgy Peony and I got quite a few compliments for the great color.

I would say that the chubby sticks are ok, but so not worth the price.

I like the design of a big crayon to draw on your lip color. I also find the packaging of the Clinique version to look much more polished than the knockoffs. Because this color was quite pigmented I found it was less balm like than the other colors. Therefore I found it was not as moisturizing as I would have liked. It is definitely not drying, I guess I just expect a lot of hydration when something claims to moisturize.

This is a great mix between a chapstick and lipstick. It goes on incredibly even and smooth which I love, and gives you a pop of colour without all the hassle of a regular lipstick. I usually hate 'tinted' chapsticks because they tend to be goopy and go on really unevenly, but this stuff applies really well. It also looks like a gigantic crayon which I think is just adorable!

Have you seen these chubby sticks from Clinique? I love them! They are highly pigmented, extremely moisturizing lip balms. They are also lots of fun to apply - like a giant crayon.

I initially saw them at the Clinique counter at The Bay, and I believe they were about $20. I wasn't prepared to pay that much for them at first, and decided to wait. One day, while shopping at duty free in the airport, I saw that they carried the Chubby Sticks! I was thrilled to find them at a slightly discounted price (i think about $17, if memory serves), but with the added tax savings I scooped one up.

The colour I selected was Whole Lotta Honey (#02). It seemed a "safe" first choice. Well, when I got home and tried it, I was disappointed I didn't pick up more! I love the way it applied, so smooth and silky. My lip had moisture, long-lasting colour and shine. What more could you ask for in a colour lip balm?

I later picked up a second one in Graped-Up (#08) which has a hint of purple to it. I included pictures of the two swatched colours, so you can see the difference.

I will definitely be buying more of these, and when I checked online it seems that they have a bunch of new colours: Heaping Hazelnut, Bountiful Blush, Two Ton Tomato, Oversized Orange, Mighty Mimosa, Curvy Candy, Pudgy Peony, and Voluptuous Violet. These eight are in addition to the original eight: Woppin' Watermelon, Whole Lotta Honey, Mega Melon, Fuller Fig, Richer Raisin, Graped-Up, Super Strawberry, and Chunky Cherry. Go check them out; you are sure to find a colour (or two) that is right for you!

I hope this review was useful!

I received a set of Chubby Sticks for Christmas (purchased from Shoppers Drug Mart). I hadn't heard of them before but I love trying new make-up so I was excited. I've had pencil-like lip products before but found them really drying so I wasn't sure how these would be. I was pleasantly surprised that they were really moisturizing. They are not sticky at all, which is a problem I have with other glosses from Clinique.

This stuff is pretty good, a tad expensive for what it is however I really like the slight pigmentation and moisturization that this product offers. I have it in the colour: Super Strawberry, and I love the soft peck of colour that it adds.
You get quite a bit of product and the cute pencil/crayon like packaging is really adorable and is much better than a sqeeze tube as you will definitely get almost all of the product.
I like the feel of it on my lips and it's overrall a nice product, will most likely repurchace.
