Nice Polish for frequent appliers

I received the color Crimson Like It Hot free for testing purposes. This was a nice polish and I really liked the metallic finish of the shade. It is a very dark red and I'm not very precise with my application, so my mistakes were very noticeable (but washed away from my skin fairly quickly). I would try this in a different color next time; maybe something a little lighter. After a few days it started to chip a little (picture here is from after 3 days wear), so it really is ideal for frequent polish changers.

Easy to apply!

This is a nice clean easy to apply base coat that dries surprisingly fast!! Will definitely recommend as it makes the color application so much easier!! Thank you for letting me try this product.

Beautiful colour

I am all about painting my own nails and this lacquer makes it so much easier for me! I got the CRIMSON LIKE IT HOT lacquer for free from ChickAdvisor and I am in love with the colour. It is a rich red/maroon tone. It is super sexy and I recommend it!

Too sheer

I'm actually pretty disappointed by this nail polish. I'm a big fan of the color black and adding sparkles just tops it off. I don't need to buy a second polish with glitters. But when applying my first layer I noticed it to be super light. I thought a second layer would help but no. A third? I think at the end of the day I had to apply about 5 coats to get the black color I see from the bottom. Extremely sheer for a black. I can understand if it's a floral color which some people like to have a more sheer look.

I #gotitfree and was BEYOND excited to give this polish a shot. I received the colour Peony Ride and it is STUNNING! It is the perfect pink and I got a gorgeous, full coverage colour in 2 layers. I'm impressed and absolutely in love!

Crimson Like Its Hot is Gorgeous!

I received this CND creative play system (base, color and top coat) free from ChickAdvisor in the Crimson Like Its Hot color (a deep red/burgundy hue) for testing purposes #gotitfree.

I really liked the color. It's a luxurious, deep red hue with just a hint of glimmer. It's work appropriate, and is such a great color for the Christmas season.

I thought all three products (the base coat, lacquer, and top coat) went on smoothly - I really liked the brush.

I followed the three-step system precisely, but after just two days of normal activities, I noticed several chips. Since this is a darker hue, those tiny chips are extremely noticeable.

I'm still wearing the color a week later, but I have to do touch-ups every single day, which is a little frustrating.

TLDR...
- Loved the color - beautiful hue for Christmas.
- Base coat does its job and protects your nails from staining.
- I wouldn't waste your time with this top coat since it didn't live up to my expectations of what a top coat actually does...it's supposed to protect your nails from chipping and prevent frequent touch-ups.

#Gotitfree I received these products for reviewing purposes. I got Peony Ride Nail lacquer the pigment is amazing only needing 1 coat and I love the colour it is a great product overall and will be purchasing other colours from this brand.

I’m actaully really picky when it comes to nail polish. I don’t like thick and heavy feeling ones. when I got to try CND creative play nail lacquer is was skeptical I received the color Peony Ride and wasn’t sure if I’d like it because normally I shy away from such bright colours but i must say it’s growing on me. I love how smooth and light it is. For being as picky as I am I think this one passes the test for sure.

Nice colours, but chipped fast!

I liked the colour, I thought it went on smooth, I liked the brush and I liked the texture.

However I am a nail polish addict and have so many bottles.

I followed the 3 tier system to a tee, but I find after 2 days of normal activites (and yes I wore gloves when I did the dishes!) it was chipping all over the place.
I am still wearing the colour a week later, but I have to reapply to chips everyday.

I did not find it as long lasting as I had hoped.

Review from a first timer

I received this CND creative play system (base, color and top coat) free from Chick Advisor in the color Peony Ride for testing purposes #gotitfree.

I have never used CND before. I have over 100 bottles of nail polish and have been faithful to a few brands. CND really never crossed my radar, until now. I didn't find the smell as strong as some of my other polishes. They advertise something about 400 bristles on their brush, but it's a basic brush. It's not shaped or anything special. I really didn't notice a difference in their brush. The top is a rounded square, so I found it easier to open the bottle, and also still comfortable to hold.

The base coat seems to be a standard base, if you're looking for something to protect your nail from discoloration this seems to work fine. It didn't strike me as anything special, I'll go back to my regular base coat when this one is gone.

The color is beautiful! First coat went on streaky, second coat evened out, and by the third coat the color was fully opaque. My first manicure I used 3 coats. I liked the coverage but it took a long time to dry and then hours later I was getting dents and movement in the polish, so I took it off and tried again with 2 coats. I still see my nail line, but you really don't notice until you're super picky.

Someone had mentioned they stamped with their sample, so I tried it too, but my color formula wasn't thick enough so it didn't turn out great. I did do some stamping on my manicure, this brings me to the top coat. Top coat goes on smooth, dried to touch in about 10 minutes, you could go about your daily routine after about 25-30 without those dents and dings. I definitely don't consider it "quick dry". If you're doing any stamping it will smudge your lines even after you wait for the polish to be completely dry. I used a simple chevron pattern and the top coat smudged it significantly. Once the top coat is on and dry it feels strong and smooth. It doesn't shrink like serious fast dry top coats and leaves a lovely, glossy finish.

After all that being said, the polish has lasted me 5 days with minimal wear. I've done my normal routine (cooking and dishes are usually hard on my manicures!) and day 5 is the first sign of the tips starting to wear. I would probably see nail growth before they were worn enough to paint again. I'm quite impressed with how well it wears.

I will definitely go for the color coat again. The range of shades and finishes are impressive, I find the smell less harsh than other brands and like I said before, it wears exceptionally well. (Especially since it's 7 free!) The base coat I could take or leave, the top coat is great, just not for stamping or if you're a busy body and need your polish dry in 3 minutes.
