All CND products are amazing in my opinion. Great colour selections! I use the top coat with other base polishes because it gives your nails a nice shine and it last for over 10 days.

Thanks, Chick Advisor, for sending me this to try!

I received a topcoat and the shade Electric Orange - So far, I've only been able to try the top coat, as the orange colour is not very appropriate for my workplace. Will update this post when I've tried it though.

Anyway, I tried the topcoat over a very finicky Dior nail polish, and boy, am I blown away. The VINYLUX topcoat is very good at leveling polish out, giving that amazing gel finish that I so very much love. After a few days, my colour still looks great! Drying time was decent as well. This is my new favourite topcoat!

Alright, so I had a chance to try out the colour - unfortunately, the shade Electric Orange misses the mark for me, as I'm more of a neutral/muted colour kind of girl. In terms of formula, it's much like other neon polish shades: thin, and prone to streaking. I would not recommend this shade in particular, but the top coat, I still love.

I received this product through the Product Review Club. I received #181 Salmon Run, which I didn't love, as it was a bit too orange-y for me. Nonethless, I put it on and took it for a test drive for a week! I loved initially that you do not need a base coat for it, you do a couple thin coats of the colour and top it with the top coat (which is required!). The polish is a bit finicky, and you need to apply slowly and carefully as it is a bit thick but can look streaky and uneven. Definitely take your time applying it. The topcoat goes on really quick, and they dry fairly fast.
Most impressive was that it did last the full week - even through dishwashing and Lego-building with my son! The extra time applying it definitely pays off! I'm excited to buy a colour I love to wear regularly!

The colour I received was Cerulean Sea #171. I am a lover of all things blue and this polish was no exception. It's a gorgeous vibrant blue creme, the perfect summer shade! Although the directions said to apply the colour directly to the bare nail, I applied my own base coat as I did not want to stain or ruin my nails especially because the brand and product is new to me. I applied 2 coats as per the directions but found the formula to be streaky and I had some parts that dragged so I applied a 3rd. The 3rd layer helped but there was still some streaks! After the colour dried I applied the weekly top coat. I found it difficult to work with for a multiple of reasons. Firstly, I experienced bubbling no matter how fast or slowly I applied it. Secondly, it wasn't as self-leveling as I had hoped it would be. There were still some visible streaks but I'm not sure if it was from the colour polish or the top coat. Lastly, I left my nails to dry for over an hour and I still experienced some denting. I've now been wearing the polish for a week now - my dominant hand shows some serious tip wear whereas my left hand looks pretty good still! Both hands have no chipping but do have some scratches and are not as shiny as when it was first applied. I think there are much better options out there in terms of top coats. The colour is nice but formula wasn't the best.

Okay so first off I love the CND Shellac. Its great and it lasts. Because of that I was excited to try this. I did not expect such a huge disappointment from this company.

    The Polish:

Super thick. Its was like you opened a polish you had for 2 years an forgot about. It was so goopey and thick. I don't know how they say on the instructions to apply think layers when the polish itself was so thick. When applying again it is so thick and the brush quality is horrible. It left the nail polish so streaky. Then on top of all that before opening I rolled the polish gently before opening the polish as I do before all polishes. By rolling it instead of shaking it, it makes it so there is no air bubble. I opened the polish and it was super chunky. Like chunks of the polish colour came off the brush on to my nail. (See picture)

    The Top Coat:

It seems like its any other top coat. I didn't really notice any longer of a wear than normal. I still had chipping at the ends of my nail as always. I wouldn't say it would last a week chip free. I haven't though tested the top coat on another polish brand to see how well the top coat itself works.

    Claim:

Fast Drying. NO not at all. Due to the polish being so ridiculously thick it was far from fast drying. It took 2 hours to become barely tacky.

    Overall:

Super disappointed with this product. I would not recommend at all. I have seen many positive reviews though for CND. I will give CND the benefit of the doubt that maybe this was a bad bath or a single bad product. However the fact that they even shipped/ sent a bad product makes me wonder what their process is on fining defective products.

Received the sample kit with the topcop and mint colour. Although I like the look and shine of the top coat it wasn't very long lasting. As this is gel type nail polish it peeled away after the second day of wearing as opposed to chipping. The mint nail polish wasn't my favourite as it was more of flat one tone colour. It was hard to get even an with the first two coats it looked streaky. This nail polish is on the expensive side so would not consider purchasing unless it was discounted.

I received this product for free to test out as part of the ChickAdvisor product review club. I assume that colors were sent out at random. The color I received was a very very very dark purple. It basically looked black applied. I wish a more appropriate everyday color was sent out. I applied it only to test out the product as I can not wear black nail polish in my professional work environment. The nail polish itself was easy to apply and the top coat helped protect the polish. However, the color I was given simply does not work for me.

As part of the ChickAdvisor Review Panel, I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. CND Vinylux Weekly Polish is a 2 step process - the colour (I received a pale pink with clear flakes in it called Fragrant Freesia #187) and the CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat.

I'm torn on this. I didn't care for the colour or formula that I received. I felt the clear flakes make it look lumpy, like they were bubbles in the polish and the colour was so close to my skin colour it looked odd. I didn't deduct stars for that, however, as everyone has different tastes. I was disappointed, though, that there was no way I could get an even application with this colour if I only used 2 thin coats of colour as directed. I *had* to use three or it was a streaky mess.

I followed directions to thoroughly cleanse hands and nails, but I did use three instead of 2 thin coats in order to make it look somewhat presentable. I then finished with the Vinylux Weekly Top Coat as directed. This system says you don't need a base coat, so I didn't use one.

I will say this - it didn't peel off in strips like so many other polishes I have tried. And it lasted longer than DIY polish typically lasts on me - I woke up with some chips on day 6. That's pretty good, but it still falls a bit short of its claim.

As I have the topcoat now, and it did last longer than I expected, I do plan on buying a bottle of the polish in another colour to give it another shot. I liked that it was faster to do a manicure than it typically is with regular polish as I didn't need a base coat. It did last longer than I expected it would (I don't think it is possible to have any DIY manicures last 7 days on me - Shellac maybe, but not typical polish - I'm too hard on my hands). I'm going to try another colour and see if I like the finish better. The increased wear-time and reduced time of application were bonuses for me. I do not recommend the Fragrant Freesia colour because it was too streaky and sheer to look nice with the recommended two thin coats. I will update this review once I have tried another colour.

I received this product as part of the Chick Advisor review club. It came in the mail Thursday, put it on my nails Friday and now I am writing the review on Sunday. The instructions are straight forward - two thin coats and then the top coat. My test colour is a delightful light yellow Sun Beached shade. After such a blah winter this colour excited me. So much so that I put it on my fingers and toes. I needed to put an extra coat on because the coverage was a little streaky. I've had the colour on for almost 2 days and it has lasted longer than other brands have. I do love the colour but it is starting to show wear at the tips and sides. Like little cracks. I do have bendy peely nails. I will update this post at the 7 day mark...so far I am mixed about the product.

I've got free CND Vinylux Weekly Nail Polish and Top Coat to test. I had very high expectations, and really wanted them to work, since I am yet to find nail polish that can survive on my nails longer than 5 days. That being said, this one is not the one. After only 3 days of regular housework (laundry, dishes etc), it started chipping and peeling off, although I gave it very long time to completely dry off.

Positives are that that it did dry really fast and was very shiny, and it has no nasty ingredients. Negatives, besides not being long lasting is that it came on really streaky, especially the second coat. The top coat fixed it a bit, and the color being light it was not very visible, but it still bothers me. I think this particular color (Fragrant Freesia - very light pink with white glitter) would have looked nicer with only one coat, but I wanted to follow the instructions on applying it. Maybe that is just my preference. It looks nicer in pictures than close-up.

Compared to other polishes I use, I would say this one is average. It is in line with drugstore nail polishes I tried, and even some of them apply better than this one. Compared to higher end ones, like Formula X, I don't think it comes even close.
