Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella Reviews
#5 in Books

Description

Becky has a fabulous flat in London''s trendiest neighborhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends, and a closet brimming with the season''s must-haves. The only trouble is that she can''t actually afford it-not any of it...

This is my favorite book ever! It's scary how much I can relate to Becky, the main character.

I recently decided to read this series and I absolutely love it. This is the first one and it got me hooked (I am half way through the 3rd one now) If you are looking for a light fun read than this is definitely for you! I found myself actually getting frustrated at the main character (Becky Bloomwood) while reading it - Kinsella knows exactly how to get you involved in the story and hook you! I'd definitely recommend giving this book a read!

These are my favorite books of all time. I love the tone Kinsella writes in, and the British expressions make it even funnier. The main character though ridiculous is totally relateable. Confessions of a Shopaholic is the first book in the series and it's my favorite. I highly recommend it for a light shallow and ridiculous read.

I love this series. I couldn't put the book down when I first bought them. Book I was my #2 favourite in the series. Becky was hilarious and she was doing all the things I wish I had the guts (or stupid enough) to do. It was a great story and it's one of my favourite book series. I've re-read these books about 5 times.

I have read all the books in this series, and loved every single one of them! It is a nice light read and I can relate to the shopaholic all too well. It is the perfect vacation read.

I really like this book. This book, Shopoholic Ties the Knot and Shopoholic Takes Manhattan was given to me for my birthday one year. I read all three books cover to cover. I love Sophie Kinsella's writing style. This is a light read and is told in a voice that people can identify with. She also writes under the pen name Madeline Wickham but her books as Sophie Kinsella are a lot easier reads. I would definitely recommend this book to take with you to read on a beach when you are vacation or just looking for some light reading.

I picked this up as a fun summer read - after the second paragraph I was hooked! The heroine is a compulsive shopper who tries to justify her spending habits to everyone until finally her VISA bill catches up with her. It is hilariously written and honestly told. Sophie Kinsella has written several sequels, but I think the original is the very best of them all.

For anyone who can't walk past a shoe store window or exclusive sample sale without spending a week's salary, this is a must-read!
